TLDR: Early Access game abandoned and released as full game while in very early stages, very basic and essentially an asset flip. Very basic zombie game abandonware, with pretty much nothing going on and zero depth. Controls function, barely, the sound of two weapons were not bound to the master volume slider, one weapon seemed to change it's model entirely when I picked it up, lighting issues (not uncommon), many different zombie models but only found three functionally different types of zombies (the tanky one, the poisonous leaper [I actually liked this one], and the normal one), voicelines were pretty raw, apparent damage numbers seemed to have no tie to how fast you can put down a zombie, and this "full release game" states on the main menu that the version is 0.0.0.8 ALPHA. On the plus side, the objective markers were pretty clear. If the game were still being actively developed, which I looked and have seen no sign of, I might have decided to keep my copy. However since I cannot find any evidence this game will improve, I will not waste any money on this.
BAD GAME DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY What could of been something good has been released whilst still in Alpha and its very buggy with little to no attention to detail Poorly optimised No ambient sound just the occasional zombie growl AI Text to speech (gets annoying very quick) Zombies like to body block you so you cannot move No clear objectives just a running simulator DO NOT RECOMMEND DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
absolutely terrible game not even worth 1 penny this game runs poorly the dialogue is made by a.i not even real voice actors no ambient noise graphics are terrible just an all round horrific game
I just want to write this at the top to say that this game isn't worth the price they are asking but it is a decent game if it's on sale for less then $10. Even more so if you can get it less then $5. I believe this game is supposed to be similar to games like Left 4 Dead, World War Z, Back 4 Blood etc. You have 5 characters to choose from and each of these characters have their own specific loadouts, with each gun having their own stats. There are only 3 maps with 1 map that says coming soon (and seeing that there hasn't been updates in a long time it will never come). The story doesn't really seem interesting and with the subtitles combined with the voice acting the story isn't good enough to keep you intrigued. This game is definitely the type of game which is just good to shoot zombies while completing short objectives, This game has so much potential but unfortunately it seems that the devs have just left this game to collect dust and nothing more. Singleplayer is a bit difficult since it seems that there aren't any checkpoints which means that you have to restart from the very beginning of the chosen map. That being said, multiplayer, like any other game does make the game even more enjoyable and even easier in the case for this game. The only issue I had with this game was the optimization for the game when it came to the effects but that could be solved with setting the Effects option to Medium. If you set it to High or Epic your frames will drop drastically. Other then that I really didn't come across any bugs or issues that would cause an interruption with my gaming session. The one thing that you should consider is, why would you bother with this game when there are similar games that are free and similarly priced with far greater content.
An intense and fast-paced shooter that offers plenty of fun. With some additional weapons, it could be absolutely amazing. As it stands, it's a great survival experience, battling hordes of zombies solo or in co-op mode, complete with quests and story-driven locations. What more could you ask for?
Borderwatch: Dark Armada, developed by Blackburne Games Yazılım A.Ş. and published by Blackburne Games Studio FZ LLC, is a cooperative survival shooter that builds its identity around urgency, teamwork, and resource-driven tension. Set in a world on the verge of collapse due to a spreading infection, the game places players in the role of operatives tasked with navigating hostile environments, gathering supplies, and ultimately reaching evacuation zones before time runs out. While the premise is familiar within the genre, the game distinguishes itself through its emphasis on timed survival scenarios that constantly push players forward rather than allowing them to settle into a static defensive rhythm. The gameplay loop revolves around moving through semi-open environments while scavenging for essential resources such as weapons, ammunition, medical supplies, and food. These items are not abundant, and managing them becomes a key part of the experience. Players must decide whether to engage enemies or conserve resources, often making split-second decisions that can determine the outcome of a run. The looming presence of evacuation helicopters, which arrive on a strict schedule, adds a layer of pressure that prevents passive play. You are always working against the clock, and that sense of urgency becomes one of the game’s defining strengths. Combat in Borderwatch: Dark Armada is designed with cooperation in mind. While it can technically be played solo, the game clearly expects players to operate in teams, coordinating their actions to survive increasingly intense encounters. Gunplay is straightforward and easy to pick up, focusing more on positioning and awareness than on complex mechanics. Encounters escalate gradually, introducing larger groups of enemies and more dangerous variants that require players to adapt their approach. However, while the combat is functional and occasionally exciting, it lacks the weight and polish found in more refined shooters, which can make firefights feel repetitive over longer sessions. One of the more effective aspects of the game is how it handles tension through scarcity. Resources are limited enough to make every pickup meaningful, and running out of supplies at the wrong moment can quickly turn a manageable situation into a desperate scramble. This system encourages careful planning and communication, particularly in multiplayer sessions where teams must decide how to distribute what they find. It’s in these moments—when a group is low on ammo, surrounded by enemies, and racing toward extraction—that the game feels most engaging. The environments offer a reasonable degree of variety, drawing inspiration from real-world locations such as Istanbul, Moscow, and Abu Dhabi. These settings provide different layouts and visual themes, helping to prevent the experience from feeling entirely uniform. That said, the overall presentation is fairly modest. Built using Unreal Engine, the game achieves a serviceable level of visual fidelity, but it lacks the detail and refinement needed to fully immerse players. Character animations can feel stiff, and environmental assets are often reused, which becomes more noticeable over time. Enemy design adds some variation to the experience, with different types of infected exhibiting unique behaviors or increased resilience. This gradual escalation helps maintain a sense of challenge, though the range of enemy types is not extensive enough to completely avoid repetition. Over time, players may begin to anticipate patterns, which slightly reduces the sense of unpredictability that is crucial for long-term engagement in this type of game. One area where Borderwatch: Dark Armada falls short is in its progression systems. There is limited long-term development, with few meaningful upgrades or customization options to significantly alter gameplay over time. As a result, replayability depends largely on the inherent enjoyment of the core loop and the social aspect of playing with others. Solo players may find the experience lacking, as the absence of team dynamics exposes the game’s relatively simple mechanics more clearly. Despite these limitations, the game succeeds in delivering a focused cooperative experience that can be genuinely enjoyable in the right context. When played with a coordinated group, the combination of time pressure, resource management, and escalating combat creates moments of tension that feel rewarding to overcome. It may not offer the depth or polish of higher-profile titles in the genre, but it captures the essence of survival-focused gameplay well enough to stand on its own within a niche space. In the end, Borderwatch: Dark Armada is a solid but unremarkable survival shooter that thrives on its cooperative elements while being held back by its lack of depth and technical refinement. It is best suited for players looking for a straightforward, team-based experience that delivers short bursts of tension rather than a deeply layered or long-lasting adventure. Rating: 6/10

Borderwatch: Dark Armada offers an incredible blend of strategy and action. The immersive graphics and engaging storyline kept me hooked from start to finish. A must-try for fans of the genre!
A challenging and dynamic zombie shooter. Very beautiful graphics, there is also a good optimization
