About
Border Bots VR is a puzzle simulation set on a future earth where AI is in control. As a human border agent, you begin a new role as a booth operator at an AI travel border. Interact and check over a variety of robots as they try to get through security. Some of their credentials might not be up to scratch, it's up to you to make sure they get the stamp of approval.

Step into the booth as a border control agent and swiftly process robots by analysing their documents for discrepancies, oddities, undeclared modifications and contraband!

Earn credits through challenging gameplay to purchase booth upgrades to keep yourself ahead of the competition. You can also spend your credits on apartment customisations and bring your space to life!

Meet and interact with a variety of quirky robots at the booth and in your apartment! Come face-to-face with sentient appliances as you discover more about their newfound consciousness and colourful personalities.

Use a variety of tactile gadgets in VR to examine robots at the booth. You'll need different tools for inspection including a 3D printer, Contraband Detector, Stun Gun, Barcode Scanner and much more.

The game is okay but the yapping to playing ratio is horrendous, 5 minutes of game-play to 15 of yammering. Genuine case of less is more as 'funny' lines are followed up by 3-4 lines beating the 'joke' to death. In conclusion add a skip button.
After a number of poor and mediocre VR games, this one finally was worth playing. It is well polished and fun to play. I got almost 8 hours of playtime but some of that was due to quitting and restarting a level as I wanted to get a better run. There really isn't much replay value but if you want different endings, I guess there is that. The "job" of checking robots starts really simple and then gets much more complex later on. The one that always got me was the illegal robot mods. I typically found those hard to spot. The drones and mice in the later game really make it difficult to keep pace. The graphics are wonderfully colorful and fun. The voice acting is good for the most part with some of the robots blathering on a bit too long. The music selection was not really to my liking and I couldn't figure out how to play songs I picked from the shop. The songs appeared and I put them in the "radio" but they didn't seem selectable. No biggie since I was way to busy with the check point to even really listen to the music. The game could really use an endless or arcade mode. There is a certain desire to keep checking robots even after the main story ends. Just when you finally get into the groove of things, the game is over. It is too bad the developers left this option out. I would have played for at least a few more hours doing the "job". Oh well.
"papers, please" in vr. need endless mode btw
That was a great game! At first glance I thought it would be arcadey with missions but I was wrong. I took me just about 10 hours to fully complete though some of that time was spent goofing around with the different mechanics available. I was excited to see how they implemented VR controls and the detail that went into setting up the world, it really made you feel immersed throughout the gameplay. There are so many VR games at the same price point or higher that don't have anywhere near the attention to detail or even functioning stories so I was thrilled that this was packed with all that at a great price. My only regret was not getting around to play it until now.
This is honestly just such a cute and fun game. I picked it up on a whim, but it's hilarious. I had a lot of fun on the first run so far. I am definitely on board with this. Cant wait to play more of it. It's basicly VR Paper's Please that is full of robots. They definitely got me a few times. 10/10. This would be a streamer's dream game to play.
I thought its interesting. But damn those NPC that just won't stop talking. If their writting was interesting ok. But they just go on and on trying to be funny and not really adding to the story. Half of what they say is just not relevant. The actual gameplay made me care for some of the robots, and one of the first ones was commentary on how people are now, and then the NPC yapping hit me. I was pressing every button on the controllers trying to see if there is a skip button. After almost an hour i just had to uninstall it. The npc yapping that is just slow and can't be skipped sort of broke me.
I kind of want to recommend this game, but it has too many cons going against it. The game gets bogged down by too many moments of lengthy dialog that you can't skip, and I found myself not really paying attention after the first few, instead just standing in my living room with my arms crossed going, "Yeah... mmhm... okay... whatever, don't care. Just wanna play now, thanks." The actual game play, when you're checking robots through the checkpoints are fun and somewhat challenging, but are FAR too short for my taste. This game SERIOUSLY NEEDS an endless mode of some kind, like Papers Please has, and how these devs didn't think of that is truly baffling. For that reason alone I give this game a thumbs down, but there are plenty of other reasons besides, but without an endless mode, there is zero replay value here.
Security shutters were not doing much security-ing when the big scary mafiabot casually pushed them open... 10/10 would set robots on fire again
