I have been having so much fun with this game so far. It's so nostalgic. Aero's Quest has great graphics, gameplay and music that take me back to the day of the Super Nintendo, which is a great thing. It reminds me of all the great platformers I used to play back then. With the speed run leaderboards, it has so much replay value. For the price, you'd be unwise to pass this game up if you like puzzle/platformers.

I really enjoy this game. being a big fan of retro games, this sparks some interesting takes on that oldschool feel. I like the challenge of timing in Aeros quest. it's a little slow to start, but once you get past the early tutorial levels you'll soon know what it means to be fast or die fast. Also no shortage of precision movement, like with air control. Dodging traps and missiles. powerups arent for the needy either! they are neccessary! level 20 really had me going, and it begins the metroid style backtracking that really fine tunes your skills in this unforgiving platformer
Don't bother. This game feels either really lazy or just the developers first project. Graphics look like something taken out of a game engine stock. Same 3 notes "music" on repeat makes you want to strangle infants after 5 minutes. Physics are meh. Reminds me of old DOS games, just kind of crappy. You want a nostaligia kick? Play Jill of the jungle, Commander Keen or Jazz Jackrabbit. That being said, the game isn't "horrible" , they had a decent concept going on. If feel if they patch the game to update the graphics, music and tweak the physics a bit this game would be ok.
Target Audience: Puzzler Platformer Players Looking for a Desperate Fix Summary: Another case in which I wish there was a sideways thumb as an option. This game hits a niche audience, as the game as a puzzle platformer for the average gamer will not hit the notes that one would hope from the genre, as elements of its game design can cause a unique amount of frustration in the player with unconventional level design and some out there change up in the genre. However, that's what I have to specifically point out: those who love frustrating platformers, there is something unique here as the game definitely hits that portion of it, and what makes it stand out in that particular sub-genre is the variety of levels on display, as a good mix up of levels keeps it fresh. In the end, it's not the game for me or the average player, but there are elements that will make it appeal to those who like the frustrating platformer genre. Gameplay Footage and Video Review: http://youtu.be/_f5mx2Gd-FA Lists: Positives:

Keeps up the challenge. Frustrating gameplay is the highlight here.
Variety in the levels keeps things fresh through out the game, even with the same mechanics.
Puzzle elements are done decently.
Unique look.
Developers are responsive. Very Responsive, when video came out, they brought a change almost immediately with the design. That bodes well.
Negatives:

The visuals don't work at times for the game.
The Design of the game mechanics can feel unfair and cause trial and error gameplay. While frustrating platformers are expected to be “unfair”, there's challenge, and then there's design going against you.
Some odd choices in controller button options where smarter button options were available. For example, restarting a level is R3, where back and the bumper keys are not used.
Music starts to wear on you.
If you want more reviews/information regarding games I've reviewed, visit my curator. This is actually my very first review on Steam. Aero's Quest can be broken down to 5 words: Cutie - hilarious - Challenging - Long - Addictive - Cutie because of the general initial feeling that the game gives you - Hilarious because the cuteness is suddently killed by the funny and splatter animations when you die - Challenging because you really die a lot! - Long because you can play with more than 100 hard levels - Addictive because even when you get frustrated you still wanna keep playing to beat the levels
Aero's Quest is an interesting little race against the clock, puzzle game, set around the story of Areo, the Hero who is trying to rescue his beloved Ariella, from the clutches of the evil android Andraus. Personally, I think the game has an old school mega man feel to it. The puzzles are extremely varied, but not overly complicated. Special power ups such as Speed Boost, Stealth, and High Jump are sometimes found, making some puzzles easier or more difficult depending on the situation. This looks and feels like a game for the original NES. There are leaderboards for competing with others, a speed-run mode and more. If you like puzzle games and don't mind going a little retro, Aero's Quest will probably be a fun little puzzle platform for you.
Shovelware Quest Fair warning - you will not escape from grasps of this game so easily...
This game is so cute! I like the style, the cuteness of the characters and then the splatter once you die. Aero's Quest is challenging, I don't know if it is because I'm not really skilly with plaformers or because the game is hard. I like the idea of many short levels, it keeps the pace very high.
