Bookbinding – Dark Cozy Sim

I really enjoyed playing this game! The writing was so good and I loved the short and sweet romance aspect. A perfectly cozy and spooky game to play on a day off. I only wish the game had been longer, I easily could have played this for another 10 hours. The only problems I saw were occasionally the text wasn't loading for info on the tarot cards. I'll probably play it again in the future!

I loved my first playthrough and thought the creative element of decorating book covers was a great break from the heavy story (which I also loved, just appreciated that there was levity in between the sections). I loved it so much that after my first playthrough got an unsatisfactory ending, I did several more playthroughs to explore the storyline options (hence the insane play time). It is true that sometimes it didn't feel like there was a good dialogue option, and on one or two occasions I also got railroaded into plotlines that I was actively avoiding, but it didn't break the story too badly for my own enjoyment. I initially got the game for the bookmaking aspect, and would have like a bit more robust design tool, but eventually I figured out little tricks to getting it to do what I wanted overall. For a sub-$15 game I'm very pleased with the experience I had. I would have liked to see a few more story branches involving some of the central characters, but other than that I have little in the way of critique.

Not perfect, but still enjoyable.

Very cute and atmospheric game for a rainy afternoon. The bookbinding aspect is very well made I just wish there was more of it it was so calming. The story is cute in a tropey way but does not hurt the overall experience (it even has quite the number of twists!).

Story is cute! Directions on what is expected from each new book design also easy to understand! The only thing that would make this game better would be voice acting for some of the characters!

Literally bought it as soon as I got the email and so far it hasn't disapointed! I'm currently on day 14 and I love love love it, I haven't played a non-demo visual novel in a while and I always get surprised that it just doesn't just stop at a cliffhanger. Love it tho! Defiently gonna try different endings, if there are multiple.
