Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 56.83/day in the week to Jul 17 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This and it's predecessor (cultist simulator) are games unlike any others. Even trying to describe the genre is awkward, calling it a crafting game seems reductive but it's the best fit. They're great for a particular type of person and not really for everyone else. It's confusing at first, then still a bit confusing for a while afterwards. There's no tutorial or tool tips, you're expected to learn everything yourself through trial and error, though punishments are light and reversible. The small intro teaches you the most basic actions but you'll likely be unaware of what you're actually doing at that moment. Once you get over the initial steep learning curve and played around a bit the basic game loop will reveal itself. Learning how to play is part of the game and part of the fun and figuring stuff out is very satisfying. The writing is amazing. If you've played sunless sea/skies you'll instantly feel at home. It's very Lovecraftian in feel. The visuals are nice and fit the vibe and the attention to detail is great. If you love reading, figuring stuff out yourself with no handholding and are happy with an experience where puzzling out the mechanics is actually part of the game, then you'll likely find a lot to love here. It's slow and require patience and perseverance, but stick with it and it's a super cool game.

I realized I haven't reviewed this yet - it's incredible. One of my favorite games of the last five years. The worldbuilding, tone, and the way the gameplay really asks and rewards your engagement is like very little else out there. I've never played a Weather Factory game before, but the very next thing I'll be doing once I get out of playing this game nearly every day is getting Cultist Simulator and checking that out. Incredible work.
This game is difficult, but at least you don't die 1000 times and have to walk back from somewhere. Lots of looking and finding within the house, but it's a fun puzzle game to make you feel like it's a real board game. My cat's don't appreciate game nights, so at least I don't have to worry about them walking over the cards. Story wise I feel like this will continue to be cute and cozy. A game to help you slow down and engage in a different type of game. But... it has like no assistance within the game. There are hints eventually, but it can be very difficult since there is also few helpful guides on the internet. You may be on your own, but at least you have your books.
They kinda exaggerate, the books only take like 2 minutes to read.
sucks ass
I've nominated this game for Labour of Love category. This team clearly has a passion for their stories and worlds, expressed in many forms - including their merch. (I'm proud to say I have both the original tarot deck as well as the one with the transparent backs). Looking forward to Travelling at Night!
awesome lore, great art, horrible gameplay; cultist sim could afford that because the replayability and time put into lives was short enough and you died often enough to take different approaches; this is just boring. hire a game designer or write books I beg you
