An action-adventure FPS which combines the time-honored problem solving of adventure FPS games - shooting people in the face and getting through not-so-difficult puzzles - with metaphysical ponderings. You can craft and mod stuff as well.

Edit - The devs listened to me and added more lore! (unless I missed them in my previous playthroughs) There are new posters, new codex entries and misc letters. If you don't know what you're meant to do, just look at your missions tab in the journal, there is SOOO much to read in there about the world and current objectives. Little suggestion though devs (and I mentioned this in the beta if I recall) PLEASE change the maps, they are hard to read and ugly. Original review - Beta tester here. I haven't run into the bugs other people seem to have run into since launch (will edit this if I do find anything game breaking). Game seems to run well, just like it did during testing. The jumping is a tad clumsy and I have fallen off a balcony through my own stupidity, only me to blame for that though. The story is great. I liked having to hunt around for who I was and what I was meant to be doing. I've clocked 12hrs in my beta testing and will probably rack up 10 more now that the game is out and updated. I have to find what was new with the release of the game. My YouTube, Jenjibob Cries, vid of the open beta below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Cw8t6reVTQ
This is a Bethesda-style RPG, warts and all. IF we can put up with bugs and issues in Skyrim and Fallout 3, 4, and New Vegas, then a few minor bugs in an indie made, 10-plus hour FPS RPG is nothing to be upset over. The world and art style are stupendous and highly imaginative, the combat is as good as a Bethesda game and I have had an utter blast exploring and fighting the robots. This is the game you hope it could be from the description and screenshots, I was not disappointed at all. This game sat in my library for a while due to the limited reception, but I took a chance on it today and spent 2 and a half hours blissfully playing one of my favorite styles of games, the good ole walk, loot, shoot and solve some puzzle type game.
Update!: The loading screen instant death bug has been fixed, which means I was finally able to complete the game! While the game isn't perfect in any way, it's okay. If you're able to grab it during a sale I guess I can recommend it :) It's pretty fun to play with friends drunk. ----- Old: In it's current state I can't recommend the game to anyone. It's filled with game breaking bugs which will prevent you from progressing, essentially soft locking your save file(s). I somehow managed to get (I assume) to the end of the game, but the loading screen just kills me. Even when the above mentioned bugs are fixed, I still cannot recommend the game due to boring combat, lackluster story, an empty world and overall bad game design. Most of the playtime will be spent cluelessly running around not knowing what to do.
