Foul crow is bested yet again. I enjoy the Vermont setting but you can really tell the time span this game was made in. It has a structure but everything is weak. The monologues and dialogue wasn't particularly engaging and the voice acting is at best, distracting. With varying microphones and accents and little expression. The world is poorly explained and strange in a bad way. While competent I also can't take the character art seriously and the background art can either be lacking or distracting. It's free though and I'm sure these devs can get better if they keep making them.
This game is interesting If there was an option in the middle, this game would be that. I like the idea and the dry humor it has. It also has pretty interesting "deeper" moments. However, it falls short. The story just isn't fully there. There wasn't a hook or anything like that and the investigation stuff seemed pretty heavily shoehorned. And the main character isn't all to interesting. Every dialogue option was Funny haha, cruel bastard, Disrespectful idiot, and absolute praise. Just a bit one dimensional. However. if you like slow-burn stories, this is for you.

I liked some parts. Not enough to recommend it.

Sip 'n' Savor: "Bond Blues" serves up a cup of intrigue with its short and sweet narrative, hand-drawn visuals, and unique premise. Like dipping your paw into a jar of honey, it offers a taste of something different in the oversaturated visual novel genre. Milk Mustache Moment: Despite its flaws, "Bond Blues" shows promise with its earnest effort to carve out a niche in the bustling visual novel landscape. The hand-drawn artistry and commitment to storytelling shine through, offering glimpses of brilliance amidst the rough edges. Roar Factor: While "Bond Blues" may stumble in places, it manages to maintain a semblance of charm and intrigue throughout its narrative journey. Like a bear navigating through a thicket, players may find themselves drawn in by its unique premise and heartfelt storytelling, despite its imperfections. Cheers Casual! Reigen in the police office.
You know, for being made in 52 hours, I found it being pretty good and entertaining, you should consider giving it a try. Its weaknesses can clearly be seen, but it has a nice setting and it's free.
