Кто то постоянно подкидывает мне пиво в квартиру, не жизнь, а мечта.
Its a good game, I love the creativity of boberr bros but alot of times the dialoge makes no sense because the responding side has only one response the goes with the story and you cant really change the way the game plays out no metter what you do, Although bobers games are very good with a very good massage behind them
шедевральная игра, за 40 минут подарила те эмоции что не смогли зафоршенные индюшатины которые все вылизывают
Utterly traumatic. I should've heeded the disclaimer a little more. Besides that, this is a very real and dark depiction of horrible things that can happen to regular people.
For how short the story is, it tells you everything you need to know about the protagonist and his dark past. This story touches on themes such as abuse, alcoholism, and other traumatic experiences I'd rather not state (just play it yourself tp find out). The protagonist is practically rotting away, doing the same boring routine he does every day while simultaneously reliving his past life through guilt ridden flashbacks. At first it makes it seem like the neighbor is the real monster, but as you play through the game you begin to understand that it was you that was the monster all along.
Overall, I feel like this game portrayed a different kind of horror very well. It is not the typical horror game that puts you up against jump scares or being chased by a scary creature. Instead you see the horrors of reality and their very real affect to yours or another's mental health. I'd like to reiterate the ending to this game and tell everyone that it is okay to speak up if you see abuse or if it is happening to you. There's always going to be someone who can help you.
Some people say that the game tackles the subject without proper understanding or empathy. It just throws you in at the deep end, saying, “Look, look what’s happening.” Without much depth. “What’s the point? What's the point in showing that” There is no point, there is no humanization, no depth, there is no point. And while I understand where that perspective comes from, I disagree with it. Because that’s what is it like. Good game.
Морально тяжелая игра, но хорошо, что она есть и что эта тема поднимается. Хочется искренне пожелать всем, кто к сожалению пережил подобное, сил справиться с этим
A short, but good scary game with a good message at the end. 7/10
Ample style, little substance. I found this game through Instagram. Though i think its very creative, I don't believe it has any real depth or strong narrative. The game raises subjects like alcoholism, child abuse, disassociation etc. and although those are heavy topics it ultimately doesn't expand on those topics or really "say" anything about them. There's no real mystery or intrigue for me, it's more like, "child abuse is bad" "substance abuse is bad" etc. which is true but not anything new. It's fertile territory as far a storytelling goes and I felt they fell short. As i stated before, I really enjoyed the visuals of the game and felt some of the sequences were particularly memorable. It clearly knows what its doing as far as ambience, I enjoyed the sound design and it's general "vibe". Although I enjoyed the visual design, it once again falls short in delivering any legitimate scares. Now I don't necessarily mean "jump scares", though they have their place when used sparingly, nothing about it really got under my skin. It has all the pieces but it didn't follow through with any tension or climax. In summary, I feel like this game had so much potential but just didn't reach the mark. It has dark themes and creepy visuals however there was so real scares to be found. Plus I feel the subject matter without some sort of commentary or point to make comes across as one dimensional, forgettable and maybe a little predictable.
This is a VERY hesitant thumbs up. The game’s handling of CSA and domestic abuse often feels amateurish and overly blunt, with some sections completely failing as horror or meaningful storytelling
(seriously, that hallway chase section??)
. That said, it has flashes of real creativity and emotional depth that make the heavier themes hit harder, and at just $2.99 it’s worth experiencing for those strong moments assuming you can handle its heavy themes. Phenomenal environmental storytelling!!
