cool short little game. the combat was pretty easy once i figured it out, but the art style carried me to the end
good, buy it
while not a long game, it's quite satisfying to play (though i played on easy because im not very good at it and holding shift was starting to cramp my hands) and though i have a few gripes (mostly about holding shift, and i think the combat pacing is a bit weird, i thought it'd be a lot slower than it actually was), it's nothing that would hold me back from recommending the game to someone. plus, knight yuri!

Cool game
Incredibly tight and great feeling movement and combat that really nails the feeling of being a cool anime sword lady, wrapped up in a fantastically unique aesthetic and vibe to boot. I've only finished the story mode right now, but I'll probably come back for the arena mode and to do another run on hard. Honestly wish I'd payed more than $4 for it.
It's aight. It's like someones first project kinda. The different swings mechanic is cool. Until you have to fight the wyrms. But you can just kinda avoid them anyway especially if you leave them full segments. The shadows legit scared me. The fact they can just fly through walls is wild. I wish there was an always run option but I guess I could've toggled sprint and just left it. The platforming was prob the part I struggled with the most because of the twisting textures and the fov and kinda floaty nature of it. Also you can only double jump at the start of a jump as well which is a little weird.
This game was an experimental masterpiece in all of the right ways. Movement was very smooth, tutorials were clear, and mechanics were easy to grasp but still challenging when they needed to be. The level design could be a little confusing to navigate due to the darkness, but it wasn't too much of an issue. As for the art of the game itself-- incredible! I adored it, everything about it hit all of the niches I enjoy. It's perfectly balanced with the lucid aesthetics and colorings on top of the writing poured throughout the game. It truly did feel like playing through a nightmare, almost like you were the figment in someone else's dream instead of your own. I love how it managed to be bright and colorful without being eyebleeding, maintaining a great sense of dread and paranoia for the player. You are slotted into Gabriel's shoes perfectly and can feel her fears come to life. The soundtrack accompanying the visuals and tight gameplay was perfect, especially the final boss music. Wish I had more to say, but it's seriously a great little game! Kudos to the developers, I wish it was longer but not in the way of it having pacing issues, it was simply just very captivating. I would have liked to know more about the characters as well, but for a 1-2 hour game, it's perfect. I can't wait to replay it and look for secrets.
