Was oberflächlich wie ein heiteres Spektakel bewaffneter Primaten gegen farbenfrohe Ballons erscheint, entpuppt sich bei näherer Betrachtung als ein erstaunlich komplexes Geflecht aus Strategie, Wahrscheinlichkeitsrechnung, Ressourcenmanagement und perfektioniertem Game Design. Jeder Turm besitzt eine klar definierte Rolle, jede Entscheidung erzeugt Konsequenzen und jede Niederlage offenbart eine neue Lektion. Es ist weniger ein Tower-Defense-Spiel als vielmehr ein interaktives Seminar über Optimierung. Am beeindruckendsten ist jedoch die Hingabe der Entwickler. Man spürt in nahezu jedem Detail, dass hier nicht lediglich ein Spiel veröffentlicht wurde, sondern dass seit beinahe zwei Jahrzehnten unermüdlich an derselben Designphilosophie gefeilt wird. Jede neue Karte, jeder Balance-Patch, jeder Held und jede Mechanik wirkt wie das Ergebnis zahlloser Iterationen. Bloons TD 6 fühlt sich nicht entwickelt an – es fühlt sich **destilliert** an. Gerade deshalb besitzt dieses Werk eine bemerkenswerte Zeitlosigkeit. Nach hunderten Stunden entdeckt man noch immer neue Synergien, effizientere Strategien oder schlicht bessere Lösungen für Probleme, von denen man bislang überzeugt war, sie bereits vollständig verstanden zu haben. Kurz gesagt: Manche Menschen studieren Philosophie, um die Perfektion menschlichen Denkens zu begreifen. Ich lasse stattdessen Affen Ballons zerplatzen. 10/10.
