Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
THIS DOME'S A KEEPER
Eh? Eh? See what I did there? BloodDome99 = The Running Man + Tandy Home Computer + Vampire Surviors Yes, yes, the survivors/bullet-heaven genre is heavily over-saturated with scores of mediocre takes littering the store... However this genre is one of my absolute favorite guilty pleasures. For my part, these games hearken back to arcade classics like Robotron in much the same way that many twin-stick shooters do and it's a vibe I still enjoy. Does Blood Dome 99 innovate on this formula? Eh... Not terribly. However, it doesn't need to. It's a game that plays to it's strengths and DGAF about it's weaknesses. It's strengths lie in just how quick and easy it is to get straight into the action, the simple but highly stylish graphics, the (mostly) satisfying feel and capturing that 80s retrofuture dystopia theme perfectly. Honestly, what sets it apart from me is that the runs are FAST. In Vampire Survivors, Halls of Torment, and other similar giants of the genre, once you get rolling you can spend 30 minutes - 1 hour on some levels and they just begin to drag. Sometimes, a lot times, all I want is a game that is extremely sessionable. 15 - 30 minutes tops, nobody is overstaying their welcome and making things awkward like your weird uncle at Thanksgiving. This is where Blood Dome delivers. Take one to the dome if you...

🩸Want a game that does what it sets out to do and does it hard and fast (oh my)
🩸Get warm nostalgia for classic 80s quasi-futuristic dystopias that certainly won't now fill you with existential dread... Ha... Ha...
🩸Are a bullet-heaven junky that just needs a fix, just a few rounds man, you're good for it, man, PLEASE, PLEASE, man!
Get running, man, if you...

🏃Are burnt out on survivor-likes, I mean, you probably aren't even on this page if that's the case though.
🏃Are averse to retro-themes and goofy, over-the-top presentation and humor
🏃Tend to calculate whether a game is "worth it" based solely on the sheer number of hours per dollar ratio

The Bottom Line
Is the Blood Dome the Best Dome? No, but it is far from the Worst Dome. That dubious honor belongs to 1996's Bio-Dome starring Pauly Shore and Stephen Baldwin.
JAM DA NETWURK?!
It's decent but deducting 20% of my score for toggling auto-aim is a non-starter. I want to support this dev, but that one decision rubs me the wrong way. I'm still going to recommend it,[strike] but I doubt i'm going to play it anymore. [/strike] awesome dev 10/10
Good premise but boss has a stupid amount of health. Doesn't seem feasibly possible to defeat with 3 weapons.
BloodDome99 is one of the most interesting survivors-like games that I have played. Your goal is freedom, and to achieve this, you need to collect $300,000 and defeat the boss. Killing enemies grants you money and drops XP orbs. Money is the most crucial part of the game. Aside from summoning the boss, money is used to buy abilities when you level up. Upon leveling up, you are offered a choice of one of three abilities, each with a different cost. You can also skip the abilities and receive money instead. The game doesn't feature traditional meta-progression. Instead, it allows players to buy guns and perks that can appear as abilities during level-ups in subsequent runs. You can purchase them in the main menu at the vending machine. Besides guns and perks, you can also buy soundtracks and cosmetics. The game is fun and features nice Synthwave/Retrowave visuals and music styles. Definitely worth to check it. An excellent rogue-survivor with a very cool art style and is a solid deal at $5. In a sea of survivor-type games, I at least appreciate the fact that it has a unique look and a slapping soundtrack. This one and Slime 3k (and of course deep rock galactic: survivor) have been my favorites recently and anyone looking at this should pick it up.
Shows potential. Make it more linear, clear and accessible: 1. Like many of these games: starts with good perks and you unlock perks you don't want in the rotation because they screw you over and so you actually end up doing the best with the initial setup of weapons and skills. 2. The gating of game features through the bouncer is stupid. Autoaim should just be a menu item etc. 3. Add a little bit more clarity for the colors, e.g. the carriages that shoot slow projectiles are super easy to miss among the bullet hell. 4. Allow banning from rotation at will as long as 1. is not true.
One of the good survivor-likes. I can recommend this one!
I bought this game when it was on sale for like barely over a dollar or something and so far its been fun, will update my review with further play time :D
Of the many, many Vampire Survivor-likes out there, this one's a winner - thanks entirely to weapon and build diversity. The unlock grind is real, but the gameplay itself is sharp enough to stop it being a chore (so far, at least). The sheer variety of ways to play also helps a lot. A strong recommend for this one.
Seems boring at first but quickly opens up.
