It's pretty good and has an interesting story, but the music is what really shines about this game I feel. The interface is a bit different from the usual point and click adventure, in that you have to click on a section of map at the bottom right of the screen to move from room to room. It's kind of like Shadowgate in that respect, but you don't have to pick "Move" from the menu before going to another room. The visuals are great, although I feel like some extra character portraits would have been a good addition for when different emotions are supposed to be conveyed during dialogue. The interface is very easy to learn and use, so there are no problems there. Overall I think it is a well made game that I would recommend to anyone who likes point and click adventure games.
Another enjoyable Cosmic Void adventure

I enjoyed this one immensely. I actually installed and uninstalled it a few times prior to starting the game because adult life is unforgiving and I just couldn’t find the time or energy to play it *cries. I wanted to set aside some time to play this in one sitting because I knew I would get sucked in. And oh, how right I was. The art style and colours were right up my alley and Love had just the right amount of sass to make her courageous but not annoying. It was truly fantastic to watch her come into her own and become someone fit to be empress. The story was well-crafted and I did guess certain events correctly, while others surprised me. That being said, the parts I successfully deduced did not take away from my enjoyment of watching the story unfold. The puzzles were not too difficult and the plot was linear enough that it wasn’t too hard to figure out the next steps - though I do admit one or two solutions did have me stumped (just a little). I really liked the UI and the map navigation was unique and simple. The cursor was very pretty as well. The talking prophetic fish was a nice touch and Love remarking on how certain things actually worked was funny too. All in all, I’m glad I gave up going to an art market to play (and finish) this game. I’ll be sure to check out other games by the developer :)
the "blood" in "blood nova" is the same as the "blood" in "blood diamond"
4/10 - Good writing and plot but bad puzzles in a sci-fi fantasy adventure that feels like it wants to be more than it is. I feel this is one of the weaker games from Cosmic Void (played three so far). The setting and world building is pretty good and the plot is alright, but it also feel like it want to tell a much grander space opera story, you get a ton of concepts and names thrown at you and a lot are of little value to the story. Perhaps they where hoping to make this into a series, and if there are more games in this world, then I might be interested, but in the context of this game it's a lore dump with little payoff. What's worse is that the puzzle design is pretty bad. Too much moon logic and "click on everything with everything and hope something happens" puzzles, it doesn't help that several of the inventory objects are magical sci-fi objects that you get very little context of what you are supposed to do with it. In other point and click adventures you often have some idea of what you can use a specific object with, or a general idea of what you might need to solve a specific object. The map you use to move around with is also pretty terrible with only some areas available depending on what room you are in, but with little logic in why. There are so many other games in this genre that I have to draw the line somewhere of what to recommend and not, and unfortunately this has too many flaws.
Wielką siłą twórczości spod szyldu Cosmic Void są ociekające atmosferą gry pełne pokrętnej i dracznej fabuły pełnej zakrętów i zwrotów akcji.
Achei chato pra caramba. Muito texto, puzzles obtusos, históra chata.
Please note: This is a „limited“ recommendation: Blood Nova most likely is for a small proportion of gamers interested in pixel-art and retro-point and click adventures. How ever this game is not strictly “point” and click. The interaction on the different places works like this classic genre, but the dialog is largely a one-way street and you move through the game by clicking on a navigation field that reminded me of Minesweeper. However here lies the first odd choice: While it seemed to me that every location had its specific place on this field of navigation you have to be in a specific location to reach certain areas/locations/rooms. This takes away from the idea of being somewhere without crossing several locations several time. The story is interesting, not breath taking but somehow unique. Personally, I liked the pixel art and the music was great. It is a rather short game, and as said in the beginning only for thoseinterested and open for simple retro experiences…
Puntaje: 8/10
Very well done point and click with fitting puzzles and an interesting well-written story reminiscent of Yoon Ha Lee's Machineries of Empires novels.
