Blood 'N Bullets is a fun roguelike shooter that I can see myself spending a lot of hours playing. It has simple yet layered gameplay and treads the line between frustrating and rewarding really well as any good roguelike should. Enhancing the experience are the cute artwork, punchy synthwave soundtrack and of course, the fruity romance options.
Blood 'N Bullets is a fresh take on the top down shooter genre through an unique mechanic where your HP and ammo come from the same pool, creating challenging but fun gameplay experience. Being the first game from Purple Boy (Studios?) it's a little rough around the edges but has a lot of heart that accomplishes its goals and a little bit more. The variety of enemy types and bosses keep the main loop fresh and add a sense of exploration as you delve deeper into the prison. The permanent upgrades after death allows the game to be challenging without falling into the mercilessness territory of 'Souls-Like' games. All-in all, for $5.00 I can say I got what I paid for. Looking forward to seeing more games from Purple Boy in the future.
Cool game, amazing music and game-play. The mechanics were really smooth and the game was fun to play. Would love to see more content on this and cool new weapons. Overall, Great game and would recommend 10/10.
This game was so much fun to play I really enjoyed it. I loved the synth music through out the game, but especially enjoyed the 2nd level music the best. Also the frogs, toad king, and the snails were super cute. I loved the shotgun the best, but found the pistol the easiest to get through all of the levels the most. The game plays best with keyboared, and mouse I found over playing with a controller. All in all 10/10 would recommend playing! It's also a great game to play while listening to a podcast, or an audio book. Good vibes all around!
