Solid game based on the blocks series but latest updates introduced a number of bugs. Phantom units, unexplained defections, units being eliminated before combat for no reason. They need to undo this recent update.
Pros: The game is great. the implementation is great. Cons: The AI is terrible! (I Won the game on the first year, playing England). its not easy to find someone to play with in the multiplayer lobby. Verdict: Only buy this game if you have someone to play with or if you the biggest fan of the game.
Great digital board game. I have played the other game form the Blocks! series and they are also amazing. Here is some gameplay for those curious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uc-nJjFZ4b4
To be sure, its a pleasing game and for an early release quite polished. I have now played thru the first scenario on both sides and was able to beat the AI very easily after 1 sitting. Once you understand the mechanics of isolating and reducing the enemy blocks and either preventing retreat or herding the units so you can systematically reduce them winning is relatively easy. Playing against a human will be where the challenge is im sure. The Wallace block and the Longshanks block are the 2 hardest to deal with. They will dominate any combat they take part in and how you use them is key. I did get the occasional black screen interrupting play - but it did not hang the game.
Da provare a me piace molto. Looks great. Could be great . However there are a some serious bugs that make the game not really playable. At least , not faithful to the board game. The card that makes a noble switch sides , should be decided on a die roll. I have seen that card come up four times, and it was successful each time. Could happen, but there is no dice rolled in the graphics makes me thing otherwise. The main attack force and the reserves is the biggest problem, that is just chosen randomly by the computer. Naval movement only allowed me to move one unit. And then asked me if i was sure , when i pressed NEXT. So the game at some level know i was allowed to move anther unit , but would not let me. The RPs for rebuilding units is not always correct. It is close, does look very good, and is still Early Access, so there is hope..maybe Currently not recommended
I own the board game which is one of the best initiation games to wargaming. This looks like a decent digital version. I'd like to see Schiltrom Optional Rule whithout which English archers have no specificity (nor do the Scottish clans).
You will need to learn this game with the help of a friend because the tutorial was not much help. For instance, it didn't provide any information during a battle. Worse, it For instance, if you already play the board game then you will know what is going on. If you are highly motivated then you will work through the dizzying smack down you are receiving. If you are mildly curious like me, the tutorial won't be sufficient.
Encore quelques bugs, mais grande réactivité des développeurs. Ennuyeux toutefois quand Mel Gibson part dans la réserve !
Between the broken AI and terrible UI, it's not worth the money.
