Preliminary Review verdict may change pending further analysis: 1-The game UI needs attention. I don't know how to access all the modes, they don't appear on the main options window. 2-The game heats up my laptop i.e. runs very hot. 3-The AI seems fairly competent. 4-I only play solo, thus there need not be the option to constantly choose play solo and invite others to be turned off every time I start a new game. 5-Why do I have to wait 10 seconds to play solo? 6-I bought this game purely for the single player vs bots and I hope the points above are addressed. 7-I have not played all the maps and game options, yet. For now I am giving a thumbs up until I have reviewed/played the game longer.

I've been looking forward to this game since the demo. Ever since the days of Unreal Tournament 2004, I've been unsuccessfully searching for a fun arena shooter with bots, and BA was probably the closest to that. I still believe it is a potentially hidden gem, but it lacks a few things for perfection. Currently, the biggest problem seems to be the bots. I commend the developer effort to add bot difficulty compared to the demo, however, I don't see a real impact, because even on hard difficulty they are easily defeated and at times they behave rather clumsily, preferring to run instead of shooting, and so on. Another aspect that really bothers me is the number and design of the maps. Where did the maps from the demo go? In my opinion, those were better and more interesting than the maps in the full version, and I would have expected that the full version would feature both the older maps and new ones. Anyway, I hope the developer continues to work on the game, because it definitely has great potential. What would definitely benefit the game for me is: 1. adding maps from the demo 2. revision of the difficulty and bot behaviour 3. weapon sounds could be better 4. the addition of UT2004-like announcements would add a lot to the atmosphere of the game (headshot, Double Kill, Multi Kill, etc.) 5. Names even above the enemy team players 6. Background music for the various maps, although here on this point I understand that due to copyright it is more complicated
