I really liked this! Just set your expectations appropriately and compare it to an arcade game at the mall and I think you will like it too. It is super short but it feels a lot like the Jurassic park raw thrills arcade game (the one with guns). Its quite a bit shorter than that game but its also cheaper and this is only one chapter of the full longer term project. If you think about it like an arcade game then its cheap. You can play it over and over and its fun. there are things to find and try to get all in one run which I think is cool. Here's the cool thing: The scale of the dinosaurs is awesome and the aiming is awesome and those two things to me are the fundamentals. The aiming is so precise and natural that I hit most of the targets in the cool slow motion quicktime events pretty easily, whereas in the arcade the aiming is not precise (depending on the calibration of the machine) or natural. This aiming feels like a natural extension of your arm which is great. I also liked the dinosaurs they were very scary being right up in your face. They hit you with the trex right out of the gate and theres lots of being chased by it. For motion comfort: its on rails (you are on the back of a car) so its a slow and not terribly jarring backwards motion which didn't bother me but is not ideal for a beginner with no VR legs. For being on rails the motion comfort is good. Something they could improve on: I have a high end graphics card but the distance culling was dramatic and super noticeable. I would love to have two guns (one in each hand). I really liked this short experience and hope for more chapters in the future. I would actually love to see tons of short exciting arcade experiences like this in all kinds of different settings. They are super immersive and fun.
Its extremely short like 6 mins, but honestly it looks good on the Oculus Quest 2 with virtual desktop and was a lot of fun to play. I would obviously keep in mind the price point but if its on sale I would say its worth playing through a few times.
je to spíš něco jako demo, vypadá to pěkně ale prostě je to krátká blbost za kterou bych neplatila nezískat ji v nějakém bundlu
I bought the game when it was reduced during a winter sale for around one Euro or something about 1.20$. There is a valid argument that a shooter should have better weapon and hit feedback, however: This is not an FPS - it is a shooter on rails kind of like those rambo railshooters that came out some years ago. You do neither control movement nor recoil (as there is none) and the gameplay boils down to simply "you sit on the back of a pickup and shoot dinosaurs". Why do I still recommend you to buy it? Because it was fun. Do not get this wrong: The moment I had the most fun with it was around 5-7 minutes in. The moment the game ends is a minute later. This is a short game that does not really have the aim to show "amazing VR-features" or just be realistic or "show dinosaurs in their natural habitat doing dinosaur-related stuff". It simply shows a basic, fun but short story - that sadly is incomplete. If you think that around 2$ are too expensive for around 10 minutes of fun, you should not buy this. But if you do just want to have some minutes of fun by shooting off a pickup truck at dinosaurs that do not care for each other and just want to gnaw a piece out of you - why not give this a shot?
Did I pay for this? Oh, Thank Goodness I only got it in a VR bundle by IndieGala. I mean even 0,50€ is a lot for this game. You play literally 10 minutes and it's over. There is only one positive for this game: It's fast paced. That's it. It's very exciting and everything is done while rushing for your life. Everything else: Graphics: poor to Very Poor 3d Models: POOR Handling: Bad Gameplay: So - So... for being fast paced and exciting. Playtime: You have to be kidding me. I've played demos longer than that. Sorry to say, I cannot recommend this game. "It's an awfull waste of space"
