Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 11 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Maybe its the nostalgia or constant craving for old school arcade fighting games, Blazing Strike is honestly one of my favorite fighting games of this year. Great music, artwork, unique characters (each with their own cool movesets), and optimization. Granted the game could have been polished a little more, but its still a fun experience. I highly recommend checking it out.
pros: rollback Cons: you will never be able to use it because your game will crash every other time you play online
Blazing Strike, developed by RareBreed Makes Games LLC and published by Aksys Games, is a 2D fighting game that clearly draws from the legacy of classic arcade fighters while attempting to introduce modern sensibilities into its design. From its visual style to its mechanics, it channels the spirit of retro titles, particularly those associated with the Neo Geo era, while positioning itself as an accessible entry point for players who may not be deeply familiar with the genre. The result is a game that feels both nostalgic and contemporary, though not always perfectly balanced between the two. Set in a dystopian future shaped by social collapse and conflict, the game provides a narrative framework that supports its roster of fighters. Each character is tied to this fractured world, contributing to a broader theme of resistance and survival. While the story is presented through a dedicated mode with comic-style sequences and dialogue, it ultimately serves as context rather than a driving force. The storytelling offers some insight into the characters and their motivations, but it does not reach the level of depth or cohesion that might elevate it beyond a supporting feature. The gameplay is designed with accessibility in mind. Controls are straightforward, allowing players to quickly understand the basics of movement, attacks, and defensive options. This simplicity makes it easy to jump into matches without a steep learning curve, which is particularly appealing for newcomers. At the same time, the game introduces a unique mechanic known as the Rush system, which allows players to extend combos, reposition themselves, or create openings at the cost of a rapidly depleting meter. This system adds a layer of decision-making, encouraging players to balance aggression with restraint, though its impact can feel somewhat limited in the broader context of the game. While the core mechanics are solid, the overall depth of the combat system may not fully satisfy players looking for a highly technical fighting experience. Character movesets, while distinct, are relatively streamlined, and the range of advanced techniques is somewhat limited compared to more complex titles in the genre. This makes the game approachable but can also lead to a sense of repetition over time, particularly for experienced players who are accustomed to deeper systems and more varied strategies. The roster itself offers a variety of archetypes, giving players the opportunity to experiment with different playstyles. Each character is visually distinctive and carries a clear personality, which helps them stand out despite the relatively small lineup. The inclusion of multiple modes—such as Arcade, Versus, Training, Story, and online play—provides a range of ways to engage with the game. The training mode is particularly noteworthy for its detailed tools, which allow players to analyze mechanics and improve their skills. Visually, Blazing Strike is one of the game’s strongest aspects. The pixel art style is vibrant and carefully crafted, capturing the essence of classic fighters while maintaining a modern level of detail. Character animations are fluid, and the overall presentation reflects a clear appreciation for the genre’s history. Backgrounds are varied and colorful, though there are occasional inconsistencies in quality. Still, the visual design succeeds in creating a cohesive and appealing aesthetic. Online play is supported by rollback netcode, which helps ensure smoother matches and a more reliable competitive experience. This is a crucial feature for any modern fighting game, and its inclusion adds significant value. However, the long-term success of the online component depends on maintaining an active player base, which can be a challenge for smaller titles. Despite its strengths, the game struggles to fully realize its ambitions. While it successfully captures the look and feel of classic arcade fighters, it does not always provide the depth or refinement needed to stand out in a crowded genre. The combat system, while accessible, can feel somewhat shallow over extended play, and certain features—such as the Rush mechanic and Story Mode—do not reach their full potential. Ultimately, Blazing Strike is a passionate homage to the fighting games of the past, offering a visually appealing and approachable experience that is easy to pick up and enjoy. It may not achieve the complexity or longevity of more established titles, but it provides enough charm and solid design to make it worthwhile, particularly for players who appreciate retro-inspired fighters. Rating: 7/10
I love the late 90's art style and the feel of the game. I would recommend easier if it were $25 instead of $40.
I'm going to give this game a positive review for now in the hopes that it'll become a better game soon that said, there are SO MANY Moves, including dashing and rolling, that are locked behind holding down a designated button which sucks really bad for anyone who doesn't play on a Pad. Trying to play this game on a Fightstick or a Hitbox is an absolute chore, and I beg the developer to rework the control scheme or make a mode that is more suited for players that don't play on a Gamepad.
There are many good things about this game mechanically, and it has some good character design and sprites. What's really bad about it are its menu options and how it treats video. No windowed mode or a quit game button. What a bad combination. The menu is weirdly laggy but I can adapt to that. Also as a multiple monitor user it began booting on the wrong monitor, which is especially bizarre because it isn't even the right resolution. I just can't shake the feeling that I'd enjoy it a lot more if it were console exclusive and I were playing it on one. If I was able to play this game on my actual main monitor with my other monitor open I'd rate it much higher. While this isn't the biggest compliment for a sprite game, I'm just glad it doesn't lag up my older computer.
The price is steep, and there's definitely a bit of jank still in the game, but I am actually really enjoying my time with the game so far. The combo system is simple but satisfying, the game has an old school charm, and the characters are varied. The Training Menu is now actually in the Training match, so you can adjust as needed without backing out. I'd definitely give the game a go if it ever goes on sale, and I hope the developer isn't discouraged from either updating the game or fixing it in a sequel because there is something special here
holy moly even with 70% discount, I feel ripped off. the gameplay, the menus, and dysfunctional training mode all feel like hot garbage. why is this not in early access?
