satisfying combat, lotta weapons, spells have good interaction with the world (though they are incredibly overpowered at times, especially later game) enemies do feel a tad rigid and move around faster than would really make sense irl, and you're a bit slow when you aren't swinging your arms to run (which you can't do while strafing but enemies can) the enemy ai is really stupid and uncoordinated too, but that's par for the course in these kinds of games honestly. the only real threat is later on when
sorcerers gain a hitscan crossmap electric beam that deals a quarter of your health
or when you're trying to melee the
rock titan
boss thing it's very loosely physics based tbh, nowhere near the same extent of physics as boneworks or half sword, but it doesn't take you out of it much the gore's pretty good and it's satisfying to behead enemies after you've knocked them down plate armor interaction when worn by you is completely unrealistic, but if it was it would be pretty much impossible to die so it makes sense why they'd do it this way the dungeon runs are really fun and it's a satisfying gameplay loop, you can play for hours and not get bored (at least until you get a headache) you aren't able to keep enemies' weapons after you leave the level you're in (it gets labeled as "stolen" when you have it which prevents you from keeping it), which is obviously unrealistic when the game's fine with you stealing all of the riches and healing items and trinkets, but it would break the main gameplay loop if you could just take everything you wanted so it's fair) the baron's kinda fun to listen to, his voice is nice and he's somewhat sociable as a character (not that you can actually talk to him or anything, but his character is nice. i think he might be the only actual named character you see in the game, so that's something) woker time baybee: do keep in mind that there is like no diversity in the game outside of your own character, every enemy's the same vaguely white base models, even across different stereotypical ethnic factions (which feels a bit blackfacey to me but i digress), and the death sounds for women are extremely shrill, high pitched screams that both hurt your ears and can trigger trauma responses in some people (like me). the stereotypical adventure game issues are in this game too, like in how the token native faction is described as having "ancient beliefs" regarding the mysterious magic thing you're looking for and trying to steal. the creators also described the desert faction's architecture as having an "exotic" quality as a result of non-european based architectural direction, which is an icky thing to say for obvious reasons. the women are given the plain skinny unmuscular figures with very high pitched voices and the men are given toned, broad-shouldered figures with low pitched voices, no diversity of body shape or voice pitch. the hairstyles are gender-specific (iirc) and a bit boring. i'm pretty sure in character creation there was just male and female sexes, no attempt at degendering the body types. this is entirely a game catered to cishet white men, which is kinda the norm in gaming unfortunately. it doesn't ever really get in the way of gameplay, but it is something that you'll notice, so base your decision to buy this on whether or not any of this is a dealbreaker. all in all the game's really fun to play, but there's some iffy stuff and some very minor issues in gameplay and accuracy. would recommend though
keeps crashing at 98% i have tried everything i have made sure everything is right and it still crashes cant even play the game (if your wondering about my playtime that was when the game sharing thing was still a thing, i have not changed computers since then) good game but this is not good

Game runs better on my PC than it did on Nomad, which kept crashing on my quest 2, most likely from all my mods, but I always wanted the PCVR version due to the graphics and for better mods, and its actually way better than Nomad. Great configuration too.
