I would say skip the first 2 games. This is the first game in the series that is actually good enough to recommend. Funny thing is it is still a short game but is paced so much better than the first two games that it feels longer even if it isn't. For the first time in the series the story of the game doesn't feel like a buildup to a sudden nothing, it is instead a decent ending with a I wonder what will happen next feeling. The unnecessary notebook gimmick is gone now the note book is just a logbook, still unnecessary but at least it doesn't get in the way. Joey is utilized better and finally the writer understand that there is no narrative justification for him to be the one to talk to ghosts all the time. A solid short advanture game. Maybe part of the reason why I ended up feeling much better after finishing this game was that I did not repeat the mistake of listerning to the commentary, I cannot recomment that enough.
Excellent addition to the Blackwell games, improving the established mechanics of the previous games while also enhancing the overall quality. Loving where the story is going and am so excited to continue the Blackwell story to the end.

The Third Blackwell game feels like it's made a stronger choice of what it wants to be, mechanically. Point and click gameplay with the secondary character of a ghost to open doors for new puzzles and methods of interaction that helps make it distinct. The guidance system in this one felt much more useful, keeping me from needing to ever search externally to solve the case. Joey's "charming misogynist" bit came off as more misogynist than charming for a lot of this venture, but he locked in during the game's back half. The villain did inspire emotion in me, and the usage of continuity between games helped this one feel more like a mystery to be solved where the answer wasn't just "Ghost things that you didn't know" than previous titles. I know the last two titles in the series are larger, and hopefully will keep building on the successes of their predecessors, with more fun ways to interact with the environment as Joey. Rosa is coming into her own quickly, but like a certain character asks in the game, will it be enough?
I enjoyed this one a lot. While the first game feels like a sort of setup for the world and protagonist, this game is practically a direct sequel to connecting factors behind the case in the second game. Considering that I enjoyed the plot of the second game more than the first, I appreciated the story of the third game. As usual, great atmosphere, characters, setting and ost. Nothing felt too hard or like moon logic. Like the second game, you are expected to remember some names to search in game, so keep that in mind. It's nothing too difficult.
这部对我来说有点难了。非母语者很多地方反应不过来该怎么解。
Overall the most flashed out Blackwell game, despite being the shortest, also it could just be that I got better at understanding the Blackwell formula, cause two playthroughs (with a crash in the second) took me 4 hours, while the others nearly reached 6, so it's on the same level pretty much. As a game it feels much more like a puzzle game, but it still mostly consist of looking up information you hear and while the story is engaging there still wasn't a puzzle that blew me away like the new Dave does, hopefully Deception changes that, given the ending, it is made clear that the last two games are looking up to be extremely good too. I would recommend it to anyone who liked the first two games, the series is still awesome, and it's pretty much keep on raising it's own bar with each installment.
Probably the best game of the first 3 in the series, and that's saying a lot because the first two games were already great. This one has more challenging puzzles and an awesome story. Very memorable and special game!
almost unplayable because the jazzy soundtrack drowns out the characters voices
