Both the demo and the full game did not work for me when running openxr oculus (Meta Horizon Link) for my Oculus Rift CV1. With openXR oculus set it would load to the Saloon but as soon as I tried to load into a level after the cutscenes you would get a black screen and continuously loading with the Oculus loading hourglass rotating, after some time the game would appear on the monitor screen but not inside the headset where you still had the black screen. When changing to openxr steamvr the game would work and load as it should but the performance was horrible with frame rate spikes everywhere . I refunded which is a shame as it looked like a game I would have enjoyed for the sale price of £10.49. The devs seem be nowhere to be seen looking at the discussion page so refunded. If you use OpenXR Oculus (Meta Horizon LInk) try the demo before buying.

Man darf halt keinen Grafikkracher erwarten.
Hi. I was involved as a beat tester for this title but continue to play now after the official release. You may be attracted to this title the same reasons I was, Its VR and its Western themed. This is a rare combination in the gaming landscape at present. It is linear and somewhat arcadey but I had no issue with this as the story and presentation kept me engaged and I enjoyed the game-play. In fact, one element immediately caught my attention is the devs really nailed throwing in vr. I've had many bad experiences with throwing mechanics in vr but this immediately felt right. It takes many of the familiar Western tropes we are familiar with and allows the player to experience an exciting adventure in the old west. It also allows you to play from two vantage points with two different perspectives on the events in the game. This helps keep it interesting as the main object of the game is to progress through areas, kill the enemies and stay alive. Each level provides a different primary weapon, tomahawks, six-shooter, spear, bow, Gatling gun and a secondary knife for melee or throwing. Hot Tip, the knife is perfect for meleeing those enemies charging you with hand weapons! This keeps things interesting and engages different VR mechanics to master for each section. My favorite (and in my mind the most difficult of the sections) requires stealth and the use of a silent blow-dart weapon. A nice break from the run and gun. Ive played through the main story 3 times now at the various difficulty levels. For extended play you get the bounty hunt levels where you work to stay alive as long as you can and collect "bounty" in order to make or claim the leader boards in the various locations. There have been many games I've never finished because I lost interest or played once and done but Black Trail had me coming back for more.
No. I mean I refunded it after the first 3 minutes, the NPC are blocky and old school af, it's supposed to be an action / adventure game but they act like it's a rythm game, either running at you like su1cid3 b0mb3rs or popping in and out of things like they are wind up robots, the action couldn’t be more repetitive just infinite axes, the winding mechanism to get into the mine was just annoying to use, after about 5 attempts of trying to wind it and it slipping around, I just thought to myself what am I even doing with this. This is one of the first ever negative reviews I’ve ever written as well…
Please fix the safe mechanics on Level 3, make the controllers vibrate or something to simulate a real safe because that was the most annoying thing ive ever dealt with in VR to date. Instructions say to turn 2 full times to restart it but it legit takes like 6 rotations at least and then if you mess up its the same deal all over again. Love the idea but so far i dunno.
hi, erinnert mich sehr an Medal of Honor. Regieren erfordert Ruhe ..., Ironie off. Einfache Unterhaltung. Grüsse Miss Take Hi, Reminds me a lot of Medal of Honor. Only looks worse and no Nazis. There is a "neutral enemy" mode if you don't want to shoot Indians. Then they're just white outlaws... Similar to Medal, there is a mission base with a map. Every round starts there. There are similarly few interactions possible with the world around you. It could be quite funny if you stubbornly want to shoot a little without having much of a brain. If it weren't for the fact that the opponent looks bad on purpose, probably on purpose. The world itself looks nice, quite realistic. The enemies, however, look like bad comic drawings. That bothers me a lot. In general, it seems that in games you are only allowed to shoot at robos/very often zombies and especially NAZIS these days. This Time they have another Solution... ridiculously unrealistic graphics of the opponents. (And it seems they are still EVERYWHERE, that's how you keep the devil alive, just a thought. Bread and circuses. China went to ♥♥♥♥, the Russians are too close to reality and anything else would be racist. Governing requires calm..., irony off. Unfortunately, racism exists everywhere, in Germany not more often than anywhere else. Lately I've been experiencing so much rejection in the online world, it's frightening......) Well, it's just a shooter in the style of Medal of Honor, the rating makes sense. Simple entertainment. Greetings Miss Take
I was looking forward to this game since I grew up in the time period when all we played was cowboys and Indians as kids. However this game is not very well made at all. Combat and animations are very basic and arcade like. The movement and controls are glitchy and clunky. Only played less than 30 minutes and there were about 20 times I would try to throw an axe and it would be stuck in my hand. Doesn’t run well either, I have high end hardware and it suffered from a lot of stutters which actually made me somewhat nauseous and I never get sick in vr. If they could make the game run well without the glitches and clean up the combat I think it would be a fun little game. Still can’t see it being worth the asking price even if it ran well.
Good game. I'd say that if it had good controls. In fact, it's just trash. WMR joysticks just don't read - button presses on items in the start menu don't work. For this case there is Quest 3, which works in the most bad cases. But not this time. Yes. finally managed to launch the game. But with such sensitivity to joysticks, or rather, with its absence in the game, it is simply impossible to move. Reaction to turns and strafes lags, or is absent at all. Moving in the game reminds a child who is learning to walk - sometimes he walks, but usually not where needs to go, and more often just refuses to go. I won't mention such a small thing as not being able to grip a weapon, which instead only needs to be held on a button pressed. Return, of course.
