About
Black File is a story-driven detective simulator set in the dark streets of Istanbul.
You play as a detective pulled back into a case that should have stayed buried. A phone call from an old contact leads you to a murder scene in Karaköy, where the victim is found holding a burned photograph connected to your father. What begins as a single investigation soon turns into a trail of lies, old records, broken loyalties, and a file that was never truly closed.
Search carefully designed locations, examine suspicious details, and follow the evidence from a quiet detective office to the rain-soaked streets of Istanbul. Every scene is built to support the mystery, atmosphere, and slow-burning tension of a noir investigation.
Evidence is not just collected; it must be examined. Rotate photographs, matchboxes, badges, and case items to discover hidden notes, marks, and clues that may change the direction of the investigation. In the demo, key evidence such as the burned photograph and the Yakut Pavilion matchbox push the detective toward the next lead.
Use the evidence you collect to pressure suspects and expose contradictions. During interrogations, the right connection between clues can break a lie and reveal the next step in the case.
Black File combines isometric exploration, cinematic storytelling, dialogue-driven encounters, and atmospheric environments inspired by Istanbul’s darker corners: old apartments, detective offices, crime scenes, back rooms, and forgotten roads.
