Bird Assassin

a very stupid and wonderful game that i loved when the xbox live arcade was still a thing

"If it flies, it dies." This quote from the game actually perfectly summarises it. Bird Assassin is a 2D side scrolling shooter, in which you play a vengeful redneck on the hunt for the bird that killed his father. Over the course of 9 stages you'll be blasting birds, avoiding obstacles and collecting coins which can be used to upgrade your anti-avian arsenal. Boss fights and bonus levels add some variety, but most the time you'll be runnin' and gunnin'. The gameplay is very straightforward, the graphics are simple (Flash game style), the soundtrack is fittingly goofy, and the whole thing can be completed in under an hour. I wouldn't have minded some additional challenges, like a time trial, or achievements for completing the game without getting hit, or without using certain guns for example. But at this price point, I'm not complaining. It was fun while it lasted, and it's a humorous time-waster. Not bad for 2 bucks!

The most realistic hunting game money can buy, it's honestly a must purchase for any aspiring hunter out there. I wholly recommend this gaming masterpiece.

Been playing this for along time, always my goto game when im in a bad mood. only gripe about it is that it was never updated with more levels and guns. Would gladly pay for a dlc or something to extend the fun.

Extremely short but fun.

I am terrible at this game. I am not assassinating any bird unless the bird actively chooses to lose to me. On the plus side, I can just say the title of the game is about the birds assassinating ME and not me assassinating birds. If the goal of the game was to die to birds, then I am the greatest bird assassin to ever live. But hey, for 2 dollars, I don't really care if I'm terrible. I'd still play it again. Eventually. I buy a lot of timewasters and/or things with dumb titles. This was the latter. I got this game because of the title.
