In BioShock 2, you step into the boots of the most iconic denizen of Rapture, the Big Daddy, as you explore through the decrepit and beautiful fallen city, chasing an unseen foe in search of answers and your own survival.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7/day in the week to Aug 20 → 7/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great game.
Just finished the first BioShock as I’m working through the series! The graphics are obviously better than the first, but what’s impressed me most is the combat, way smoother and fun!

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 14: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

The setting of the game is great, story is also great. But everything else is a bit awful. The game crashes every 3-10 minutes. As for the gameplay you never truly feel like you're wearing a huge metal suit, enemies wearing suits and ties take triple the amount of bullets to die than you do on NORMAL difficulty. At about the midgame, your weapons just stop doing damage. It takes 40+ bullets from the .50 cal to kill a single spider slicer.
A strong sequel, Bioshock 2 expands on the lore of Rapture with new areas, characters and backstories told through the audio diaries. Having less upgrade stations available than the number required to fully upgrade everything was a change from the first game, though I usually go with the upgrades I find most fun or useful anyway. The ending of Minerva's Den DLC is one of my favourite parts of the whole Bioshock franchise, always gets me emotional. I've played the original Bioshock 2 on ps3 back in the day, the remaster on ps4 and again on ps5, and now the remaster again on PC. I found the remaster was more stable across the ps4 and ps5 compared to PC overall. This playthrough on PC, I was able to smoothly run this remaster at 1440p 60+ fps (monitor refresh set to 120 Hz), however it did crash on average once per level....always during a Big Sister fight. Didn't crash during the final Big Sister fight before the Persephone levels. My highschool IT teacher always said "save your work every 5 minutes", so yes this remaster may crash but it's definitely possible to complete the game. I just kept saving every few minutes, so when it crashed I didn't lose much progress. On sale or at normal price, this old AAA game is better value than the disgraceful state of modern linear AAA games. I played this Bioshock 2 remaster for roughly 20 hours for one playthrough, taking my time exploring and finding all the audio diaries. Not including the DLC, which I will soon replay. For a comparison, a modern linear AAA game that was a launch title for the ps5 cost $120 new and a playthrough of that took me barely 10 hours to finish. Given what the modern AAA game industry is now like, I doubt it will ever go back to how it was. Though at least we can still enjoy these older games that were longer.
