A woman is violated by a man. In a final act of rebellion to preserve her humanity, she takes control and opens her stomach. Unable to finish what she started she waits for you, and asks you not to look away.

About
Biophobia is an experimental art game that intertwines dissection and gardening mechanics to explore themes of trauma, death and agency. The body becomes a site of decay and creation. You are invited to confront discomfort.
Unique Gameplay: Combines a visceral yet delicate dissection with nurturing gardening mechanics.
Artistic Body Horror: Experience unsettling yet compassionate depictions of the human form. No gore, but hauntingly beautiful.
Sandbox Creation: Choose from a variety of seeds. Shape your own floral expression.
Experimental Aesthetic: A blend of surreal visuals and symbolic design, challenging traditional game conventions.
Short, Impactful Experience: Designed to be completed in ~20 minutes.
Inspired by the character Ophelia from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Clemente Susini’s wax figure the Anatomical Venus, and Fuyuko Matsui’s painting Keeping Up the Pureness, Biophobia reimagines historical depictions of women’s bodies through a modern feminist lens. Without text or dialogue, the game speaks through symbolic interaction, haunting visuals, and atmospheric sound.
Biophobia is a game intended for players who appreciate experimental design, symbolic storytelling, and confronting mature themes in an artistic setting. Some audiences may find the content of this game unsettling. Viewer discretion is advised.

maybe i'm just too dumb to understand symbolism but i really did not like this game. i'm glad it was free cause i would have instantly refunded it.it's just confusing and doesn't really tell you anything.it's cool, it's an interesting art piece. but having said that, it's not really worth the 20 minutes you'll waste going through it. do better next time!
I feel slightly more could be done with this concept, but with it being free and having a short playtime I feel it's well worth playing.
Evocative and made me uncomfortable. Very short game that leaves with stuff to think about. Worth the half hour of time.

I want to start this off by saying: my problems with the game could genuinely just be me being an absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron. Like, this might all be a major skill issue. But I think this could be important to share incase anyone else is having/had these same issues. To start positive, I like the general idea of the game. I think it's very interesting and artsy. The visuals look good and help with the atmosphere of the game. I do still have some criticisms of the theming, though. The message that I got from this, along with how it ended, were disappointing and lacked substance. I think more could've been done with the actual fetus thing and the other areas that you can go to, in order to add depth to the situation. However, the actual controls and gameplay had me ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. It didn't feel like my inputs were being registered and everything felt tediously slow to do. My frustration with the way the game played completely took me out of the experience. There is also a huge lack of direction, so I spent a good portion of my playtime randomly clicking with the hopes that literally anything would happen.

More an artistic experience than a game, Biophobia invites the player to sit and breathe in its subject matter—succinctly defined in the Mature Content Description section—to present a piece about the complexities of, and sociological nature surrounding, sexual assault. Framed against the backdrop of a world that does not react other than mechanically, imagery is employed in such a way as to leave the door open for the player to explore their own views on body autonomy through the context of its interactivity. The way the player progresses in Biophobia is not the disturbing part; it's the implications of control, isolation, and despair which led the assaulted here that should make the player uncomfortable.
Beautiful!
Korku oyunu ararken denk geldi. Sonunu doğru tahmin etsem de yarattığı etki azalmadı. Yarım saatte bitti ama yetti. Bütün ana akım işlerin yanında böyle niş çalışmalara da şans vermek gerekiyor. Oyunun yapımcısının diğer çalışmaları da üç aşağı beş yukarı benzer kafada hazırlanmış.
