AWSOME
Nice!
Seems like fun, but it had extremely bad lag in the forest area after leaving the dungeon for me. Sadly couldnt play any further than that, looked promising though
No sé qué jugué, pero si te gustan esta clase de juegos todo bien
"Betrayer: Curse of the Spine - Prologue" is is not a game. It's an advertisement disguised as a full game, and you're expected to go pay for "Betrayer: Curse of the Spine" after seeing this advert for it. This is misleading, a shady way to market a for-profit product, and misleading gamers for profit is wrong. The product this is advertising,Betrayer: Curse of the Spine is a garbage pixelcrap platformer with no content, because the developer decided that infinite, samey, soulless procedural generation was a perfectly acceptable substitute for content, when we all know it isn't.... But this isn't Betrayer: Curse of the Spine - Prologue, it's just an ad for it. If you really like adverts, you can get them for free on Youtube, in your browser... heck even online streaming video subscriptions have ads now. Why download and install another advertisement? Instead of following the Official Steamworks Process For Demos, the developer decided to pollute Steam with for-profit advertising. Whether this is deliberate and malicious, or simply ignorance and incompetence, the result is deceptive marketing. This is bad for gamers and bad for genuine developers who do the right thing, because they have to compete for visibility against these misleading advertisements. That's not okay! The purpose behind this advertisement is to convince you to spend $10 USD, your money, on the real product. This is a predatory and misleading abuse of the "Free" section of Steam... and we know there's a proper proccess the developer didn't follow. Avoid this unethically marketed junkware and keep your money. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. This was made with the godawful "GameMaker Studio" construction kit/toolset, which is popular amongst amateur developers because it handholds you through making really crap 2D games that you can publish for $100 on Steam Direct. This lets you pat yourself on the back for pretending to be a real game developer, which explains why GameMaker Studio is responsible for so much ignored garbage on Steam. GameMaker Studio has never really been used to make a truly successful game, but that doesn't stop people from trying and failing. It's a particularly bad game engine that can only be used for making low quality 2D products. Like this. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, as the old saying goes. Another reason this particular game wasn't successful. Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. As an advertisement, this is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's important to understand there's a formal process to create a demo/page for a game which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an innocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers. Often developers may choose to incorrectly publish demo/advertisements as separate games as a cheap way to bypass paying Valve for marketing presence on the Steam front page, which may seem clever to them, but it's harmful behaviour and it's not good for gamers. Even as a free game, this couldn't find an audience. With a peak of only 5 players, it's clear the Steam community took one look and walked away. They literally couldn't pay people to spend time playing this. Advertisements and incorrectly published demos don't add +1 to your game collector count, they aren't full games. It's impossible for me to recommend this incorrectly published advertising spam to gamers, you deserve better than adverts.
