Yeet.
THIS GAME IS SO DISAPPOINTING I SEE THAT IT SAYS SHORT GAME BUT DUDE IT WAS MORE LIKE A 10 MINUTE GAME AND THE STORY WAS REALLY BAD I DONT RECOMMEND THIS GAME TO ANYONE DO NOT BUY THIS GAME SHOULD HAVE ONLY BEEN 5 CENTS.
I went into this game not expecting much, and left decently surprised! While admittedly my beta copy didn't let me get too far, I got the general gist of the game and was surprised with the puzzles I encountered (due to their ingenuity), and had some pretty scary moments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqHWocx3yqs
I bought this game as a short experience for my lunch break. Oh boy, I just wish I had bought an extra drink... Absolutely horrendous level design. Typical maze time wasters with nothing really interesting happening. The game started with an interesting premise and I was ready to believe that the reviews were exaggerating on how bad the game actually is. But the reviews are more than accurate. Even for free, this thing is not worth your time. It's as if the developer(s) had fun for an evening and then decided to put it out on Steam. Strongly NOT recommended, even for free.
Behind These Eyes is a badly made first person horror adventure that seems to have been assembled from a bunch of flipped assets from the Unreal Marketplace. Resolution is locked and can't be changed (a major gaffe from the developer here, as Unreal certainly allows for a customisable gaming experience, when developers know how to use it right). That kind of low quality defect is typical for the buggy, poor quality implementation of this "game". Everything looks blurry due to the locked resolution. The writing is abysmally poor. Talking to an NPC is a comically bad experience as the NPCs are all T-Posed and the badly written text doesn't always display right, sometimes overlapping several times. Despite being clunky high school tier asset flipped garbage, the developer is charging a comical $5 USD for someone else's Unreal Marketplace assets, so that's funny, but totally not worth it.
I got halfway through the game and I pressed pause (escape) and when I wanted to continue it just froze there is no checkpoints in the game and you cannot save your progress either its not a long game but still. I dont recommend this game.
This game is made by a single developer so keep that in mind, and it a good game with some spooky moments.
Na bra na
It's good i would 100% play again but it's not the best short horror game i have played
I just returned home from a 6 month tour in Iraq, and I wanted to play video games with my friends for the first time since I left. What we like to do is pick games to watch each other play, and I decided on this due to the price. I looked past all the bad reviews and decided to give it a try because it looked quality. All I did for 25 minutes was run around in a circle and have to click on my screen every 5 seconds because my mouse would go to the other monitor. When I FINALLY advance to the next stage, I run into a cave that has no direction and a million paths. Next thing you know, I jump and then I got stuck and could not move. Literally ruined my night, and I may consider quitting gaming as a whole. Thank you for ruining my happiness
