Obiecująca gra osadzona w mrocznej wersji naszej Europy.
Come on, don't give up!
BEAST: False Prophet is already showing a huge amount of production value for an Early Access title. The atmosphere, art direction, presentation, and overall polish make it feel much more ambitious than most games at this stage. I’m happy to support it now, because I really want to see the developers keep expanding it and bring it to a full release. There’s a lot of potential here, and I’m excited to see where it goes.
This is actually p. gud. I hope that the devs get around to finishing the game at some point.
thx for the Scam
I have played this game for a bit this week, and I really enjoy the atmosphere and world the devs have made. I understand the game can change, but as of writing this, the plot of the story is alright. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t have enough to really draw you in either. I really like the character design and how they interact with the world. It’s challenging, but not incredibly difficult to the point that it makes you not want to play or discourages you from picking it up again. The classes so far are small; it’s down to the tank, DPS, range, and MC. The skill tree is nice, and I like that it has the option to auto-level for you, but I wish it was an option you could choose rather than the system already doing it for you. It also doesn’t really tell you about it—you have to look at the end-mission results to find out. I like the different perspectives the game gives you while playing through the story. It makes you feel more involved and lets you see both points of view, which for me is a big win because I’m all about the lore and trying to step into other characters’ shoes. But unfortunately, every game has its flaws, and the bugs in this game are everywhere. For me, when I hit about the 20-hour marker, the screen kept flickering off and on during combat, and I really strongly wanted to put the game down, but I powered through. The carriage kept flipping on me—if my characters were taking cover near it, somehow they would push the carriage over or move it. BUT the carriage would fix itself, so not a big deal. There were two maps that didn’t want to load in for me, so I had to hold the space bar to skip the overview of the map to get around the bug. And now the game-breaking bug. My quest to finish the story has come to an end. I’m in a swamp area, and I’m about two turns into the map when the game keeps crashing. Not sure why—I attempted the map three times and tried different actions, thinking I was somehow doing it wrong, but it keeps telling me “fatal error” and the game crashes. I may try again to play and see if I can get around it. I hate not being able to finish a game, but the bug wall is very strong on this one, and I may have to hope it gets patched soon or when it gets out of early access. I do not suggest buying this game until at least some of the bugs are resolved. There are a few that are no big deal, and then you run into some that just take the cake. Visually, this game is not there yet, but it will get better, so I won’t put down a work in progress. Gameplay is fun. I had a ton of fun with all the banter in combat—it’s engaging. I wish there was more to it, but the system to transform your character was good and fun to manage. Leveling felt unique, and managing how it progresses and the new skills that come with it was enjoyable. There is enough here to keep you entertained. All the cutscene shenanigans were a bonus. The story is okay. It had quite a bit of ups but some lows. The lows weren’t exactly boring—it just felt like it needed more conversation or more depth. I didn’t feel completely involved at times or didn’t always know what they were talking about, but I did love the different perspectives. Bugs, bugs, bugs. As said earlier, I understand it’s in early access, so I won’t put it down, but I also want it to be known they’re there. Hopefully writing this helps identify the issues and gets them resolved. Ultimately, I think there is a ton of potential. The game is good, and the devs are really onto something with the direction it’s going. I’m hoping they add more to this project and iron out the kinks, but the bugs finally got me in my playthrough, so I can’t continue. Do I recommend this? No—it needs some work. Do I recommend it if the bugs get resolved? Yes. I had a ton of fun playing and was really taken back that I can’t continue. When this game is finished, I can see it being a powerhouse, but only if the devs put the love into it. Will update this review if the bugs get resolved and I can continue the game, or if I somehow bypass the bug and continue.
