It's a good game, with the essence of the Kingdom saga, lots of sci-fi references, and beautiful pixel art. The gameplay is generally great. My only complaint is having to manually grab the scrap and that the keyboard controls aren't the most intuitive. I understand this is being reviewed. What I like about the game is the underground exploration. You can leave the base in charge of the drones for repairs and explore an entire hidden world and learn the full story of what happened in Neyda. I haven't finished it yet, but I loved the little I saw. I recommend it for fans of the genre.
I tried out the demo and really enjoyed the game. I’d been looking forward to its release, and now that it’s finally here, it’s still just as fun. This one’s definitely staying in my Steam collection until the day I die.
good but short ganme :)
This is a solid Kingdom-style game. I enjoyed the small story tidbits detailing how things ended up the way they were, and the overall tower defense and exploration gameplay was fun. I do wish there was a way to know relatively where you are on the map when you're underground, but that's not really a big issue. The biggest gripes were: -lack of scrap when you've already cleared all the areas and just need either upgrade materials or scrap to complete the next tower section, meaning you literally just sit there waiting for the next wave for the small amount of scraps -lack of green core generation methods - red and blue cores have forges where you can convert scrap to make them while you're at the mercy of loot RNG from enemies for getting green cores -the animation locking, i.e. raising your gun forces you to complete the animation so you can't move to reposition, and getting off elevators/lifts sticks you in the animation while any roaming enemies can still attack you (died to this twice so I've learned to clear all enemies on the floor before taking any lifts) -the auto-prioritization of lift control over any building menus when standing next to a lift control (for buildings built next to / on top of where the lift controls would be) Overall, I would recommend this.
Just completed the first level.. took me a while due to poor resourse management from my end. Controls responsiveness could use a bit more polishing but there are no major issues. Good graphics, soundtrack and post-apocaliptyc atmosphere in general.
A pretty fun little gem that's rather easy, with a good story delivered through logs found on terminals, but a little time consuming due to drop rates of materials. You can always do what I did and just go into the settings, turn off the master audio and then tab out for a few hours.
I wanted to delete my previous review, but I cannot figure out how to do that.
Sometimes buggy, but lovely game. Great on Steam Deck to relax. If you like kingdom, you will like this one. To the end you will grind. But if you want to something to play on your stream deck on the sofa while watching a show, great game.
