For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes is a survival fleet-management roguelite with procedural narrative design and real-time space battles. Shoulder the heavy burden of leadership as you make critical decisions for your fleet’s survival under constant pressure.
You command a fleet of survivors relentlessly chased by the Cylon Fleet. Each new run represents another desperate attempt to rejoin Humanity’s last hope: the Battlestar Galactica.
Prepare, fight, and survive at all costs.
So say we all.

Fleet Management phases offer limited turns to prepare until the next inevitable Cylon assault. As the enemy draws closer, designate priorities to ensure your fleet’s survival:
Dispatch expeditions to nearby points of interest for resources
Allocate supplies and personnel to resolve urgent situations
Upgrade ships for survivability and firepower
Train crew to improve efficiency in and out of combat

Your decisions continuously affect the Fleet’s overall status: faction politics, healthcare, and maintenance levels. Each indicator dynamically triggers narrative events tailored to your fleet’s condition. Your fleet’s fate can evolve in drastic ways if you’re not careful: epidemics, critical system malfunctions, or even a full-blown civil war.
In times of crisis, the Fleet looks to you to make hard decisions. Given your limited resources and time, determine if your fleet can afford to solve a crisis immediately or suffer its negative effects over time.
Perhaps the most challenging crisis you’ll face will be discovering a Cylon has infiltrated your ranks: investigating suspects will cost resources, but taking too long will cost lives.

The Cylon Fleet overwhelmingly outnumbers you. Each encounter is about survival, not victory. Fight high-risk tactical battles while your fleet prepares an FTL jump to safety.
Coordinate frontline squadrons with powerful Gunstar strikes in real time
Use Tactical Pause at any time to preview your attacks and enemy movements
Create synergies to deploy enemy-specific strategies by leveraging your unit strengths and unique abilities.

Rejoining the Battlestar Galactica is a perilous mission with no margin for error. Most fleets will fail, but each attempt will provide new ways to overcome the unforgiving odds stacked against your survival.
Unlock up to four starting fleets, each with its own unique playstyle
Clear trials to access additional squadron units, gunstar weapons, and modifiers that will appear in your next run
Invest in valuable meta upgrades that will benefit all future fleets you command
Challenge higher difficulty levels to test your limits as a commander

Very engaging. I love a space battle and Their previous game, i think, was a little better. but galactica: scattered hopes is engaging and each defeat feels fair. The mechanics are good, im just bad at strategy. waiting for the game to give up on me and display a 'beat all bosses' button.
Mixed thoughts on this game, I like the setting and generally this kind of game. However it doesn't feel particularly finished, QoL issues abound, there's very little background lore so it feels like they've just sloppily slathered the art style and some references over the game that could have been anything. I feel it's missed out some elements as it lacks the RTS of deadlock or say Gothic that would make the combat sections feel more interesting. The ticking down random weapons of the gun star don't feel that interesting and it makes it a pause fest. Something a bit more like a classic FTL experience where you configure the ship or the fallout shelter style the latest trek game did would have made that combat style more interesting by giving some baseline weapons you manage and improve in the non combat phase with only a smaller amount of deployable one offs. And of the one offs the nukes are just annoying, they're an ok concept, but they shouldn't take up a weapon slot if they're going to be a main resource rather than a general ammo resource. Once you have a few runs the events start repeating themselves. And the heroes are a little one dimensional, the bars a good idea, but you only get one and sometimes two chances at events that might or might not be the heroes, it isn't an click the character any time for a conversation that might or might not go somewhere or you can build favor with in smaller ways. The decisions are presented as impactful, but the scenarios are simple "spend x type of resource to solve" there a few deeper interactions, but its too RNG not RPG to be truly enjoyable. Some of the combat ends up very similar, the diversity of new ships even if they totally lack any interesting lore to read does add character, but sometimes they're just too random and there's no real way to counter if you don't have the right tools. Having a diversity of ships always available and you have to adapt on the fly with them to counter things like electronic warfare style effects would be interesting, and even having more use of pause to have to do something to make that work in some kind of minigame would make it at least skill based. As it stands however you can get RNG'd with an unkillable enemy configuration because it can spam unkillable ships. This feels a bit like a very mature alpha or beta of a game that has had BSG slapped over it. There's certainly some good bits of the game, but there are games that do this better and the combination of things they've borrow to build this version is the wrong combination, or at least not implemented well enough or deep enough to be the right combination. Ultimately you end up with something that feels a bit shallow that could have been a mobile or browser game. Hopefully they fix it, but I'm pretty disappointed with it and I kind of wish I had played a demo first as I don't think I would have bought it at launch if I really understood it. It also frustratingly made me want to go play deadlock, and then get even more frustrated I couldn't go buy the DLC for it as the license has clearly been pulled, which frankly should be illegal and I've no doubt will happen to this game.

The visuals are strangely satisfying being lightly pixelated. Music is spot on. I enjoy the general decision making, and the new cylon units really match what I would expect a cylon ship might look like.
Fun game set in the modern version Battlestar Galactica universe. Great value for the price point.
Well, I wouldn't play 99% of all games on steam, even for free...and I willingly bought this one, so I suppose it makes it top 1% (yeaaah, maybe not)? The music is nice, the audio-visual feedback makes me feel something, but I'm not blown away by either mechanics, nor the economy management. It's a solid 6/10. The events are happening too often to the point it makes it quite tedious to deal with. I like the idea of balancing relationships between factions, but it seems to be not worth to push any faction at a cost of worsening relationships with another faction - from my experience, it's just best to balance each faction to remain neutral, which kinda defeats the purpose. I would like to go all in on one faction to experiment, but the other factions just get too angry and constantly throw negative events at me - nah, I don't bother. I wish I could zoom in on ships in combat (or change camera angle), I would like some more QoL such as the auto-pause having options under which it triggers, advanced commands to control ships (attack move, hold e.t.c., just what you would expect from a modern RTS) or not having to completely reset whole meta-progression to re-assign one point (basically there is only addition, if you want to slightly tweak it, you have to reset completely). I suppose I could give it a 7/10 if the events, QoL and more options to build your army/economy are introduced. I give this game a positive review because I think it deserves it, however, I think it's unacceptable that some of the mentioned QoL/features aren't included as a baseline in a modern game.

As is evident in my playtime, big fan of the game. It released with quite a few bugs, but they're addressed now. The devs have made a few balance changes (the community provides feedback in the discord), but I grinded out the game to my satisfaction before anything was fixed. I'm a huge fan of the series and they did well to capture its tone within a roguelite. With the format naturally comes a level of formula to the narrative events and crises, but once you've seen an event, you have the option to skip dialogue and go straight to the crisis decision. The devs are still fixing the balance of faction influences and maintenance/healthcare levels and, with enough interest, have shown openness to adding more content for us franchise diehards (say, more narrative paths, fleets, powers, rewards). The core gameplay loop is fulfilling and varied. As with any game, once you've invested the amount of time I have, you'll be able to construct a tier list of weak and strong options. This is part of the fun of discovering and figuring things out. True, dodgers are insanely annoying and unfair -- deal with it. Accept the loss of your ships and damage you could have avoided and roleplay being the fleet in the show. Use the tactical pause to know that you need to optimize for your weapon cooldowns and reroll for the best traits and abilities. As to people complaining about the game being difficult, treasure that! Soon you'll be complaining it's too easy.
An immersive, story-driven, roguelite adventure that is an excellent twist on the FTL formula. I find it amazing how fast you can get attached to characters within just a few minutes on every run. It's a very challenging experience the first time around, but with a little luck and some knowledge, you can wreck those toaster hordes! Well-done!
