Had a lot of fun playing this! If you're looking for a FREE alternative to Holdfast or War of Rights with satisfying musket-style gunplay, this is it. It definitely deserves way more players than it currently has.
Although not as popular anymore, BG3 is still a good arcade style musket game for low spec PC's. I played this game on a laptop in 2020 and again now on an ASUS notebook without issues. It's GMOD with muskets and runs great. Most evenings between 6-11pm BST there will be at least a 5v5 of dedicated players with the game voice chat providing the bulk of the entertainment. The game is easy to pick up and play for a few rounds casually. There isn't too much content nor content being developed but that's what you will get for a very old game. I would highly recommend especially with some friends for a good game night
plenty of bhop and spontoon
人太少了,只有国服还有几个人,全游戏日活都达不到三位数
Pretty decent game, amazing but small community
its a mystery why this game still has players these muskets are hitscans the melee is hitscans and you cant cancel your at minimum 6 second reload if the maps were balanced around this maybe this would be forgivable but no. one of the maps is literally just an L shaped corridor and the maps themselves are utterly tiny and the muskets themselves are some how the second worst thing about this game due to how bad the melee combat is, its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass all it is is pressing right or left click depending on if its a bayonet or a knife, neither of which have consistent enough damage to counteract the abysmal swing speed of these weapons' that is guaranteed to devolve into 2 guys circling each other while missing the melee combat is in fact so low skilled that an aim bot would actually be useful and i recommend you do use a aim bot because this game genuinely deserves to die this is before you even get to the class limits, of which their are effectively 3 classes because 2 of them are just reskins of the foot solder with utterly worthless buffs that you wont even notice (ie crouching giving a negligible accuracy bonus) for example: the light infantry, "they take less slow down damage" the run speed mechanics are so opaque that i bet if you ask a full server what they are 99% of the answers will be wrong all the guns in this game deal 80 to 100 damage (the max health is 100) save for the 1 musket that has optional bird shot and is incapable of killing anything passed an arms length so even if you manage to close the distance you will still die in one hit anyway because their is no healing of any kind, not even a hand wavy bandage item that stops you from bleeding out not that the bleeding status effect is even in this game in the first place because the devs will some how make it a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hitscan that takes 8 seconds to reload in order to balance light infantry they limited the class too 2 the officer as a class is entirely irrelevant, none of the buffs they can activate do ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ not that you would know that they even had the ability to provide buffs because the guy who is taking up the 1 officer slot knows about as much as you do when it comes to this game and will probably never touch this class again by the next round the grenadier has 1 bomb you throw it, miss entirely now you are just a glorified line infantryman because you are incapable of resupplying they limited this class to 1 if your wondering why being a line infantryman is bad then you haven't been reading this review the line infantryman is literally just a guy with a musket, that if you have been paying atention will notice that being a guy with a musket is the worst thing you can be in this game as you literally are beneath even the utter ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the other classes are, you are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if the very limited class slots for the other classes are filled up the guns would be a positive aspect of this game if they had any meaningful differences, they have a variety as wide as the Arel sea and is as deep as a teaspoon, "do you want the long or short musket? what's that you want to use the nock gun? well ♥♥♥♥ you, here is a sea pattern musket that at best is slightly more accurate then the short pattern land musket at 10 yards" (i looked it up and yes, historically the nock gun did not enter British service until 1780 most likely too late to see actual use in the American revolutionary war but that's besides the point) also the game's description lies too you as 90% of the unique guns ("grenades, riffles, swords") are locked to specific classes, the same classes that have a hard cap on how many players can play as them in a game that boasts that it can have over 80 players on one server seriously don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ play this game
I really like this game. You can even select what kind of musket do want (some have better aim, some better bayonet, some faster reload etc.)
