After Finishing the game i must say definitely an absolute banger of an game i definitely recommend.

Kind of insane how well this game holds up, mechanically and graphically, after all of these years. Games from 2015 can somehow feel clunky and outdated compared to this one from 2009. The most emphatic recommendation I could give is that it just *works*. On a fundamental level, the game just works. The grapple gun knows where you want to go, the line launcher works, the parkour works. I'm coming off of a lot of Assassin's Creed experience here and it's refreshing that Batman seems to know what I want him to do where a lot of game protagonists just don't. The only things I would criticize are the occasional jank, which I can excuse as a product of being from 2009. Like whenever you die in a sequence, the game will make you completely restart it. So if you're in a difficult stealth sequence, knock out 9 out of 10 goons, and the game janks out and you die on the very last one, good luck starting over the entire sequence bozo. This is especially annoying for bosses, who aren't really mechanically difficult so much as they are janky and repetitive. The Poison Ivy fight comes to mind as being incredibly boring (She has two attacks. One attack she does when she's vulnerable and one when she isn't), but beating her takes like 5 minutes and if you die at any point you need to reset, skip the cutscene introducing her, break down her entire healthbar, and repeat AGAIN for phase 2. Bossfights in general kind of follow the Super Mario mantra of "I will do my two attacks on a loop until you hit me 3 times and I explode". The final boss is like this too. But this is a weak element in an otherwise very strong game
I highly recommend this game 9/10
