About
Bat has a VERY strange quirk...
He can only turn around by smacking his face into walls.
This will make saving the world somewhat difficult, but someone's gotta do it.
Super easy to play... and darn hard to beat, flap your way to the top of 5 punishingly-addicting levels while earning achievements, setting leaderboard times, and unlocking the many gameplay-earned cosmetic items.
Make no mistake, this is a rage game, but It's not nearly as punishing as other rage games because the levels are so much shorter and you can regain your progress very quickly.
Oh, and showing it to a friend and watching them rage is pretty entertaining.

The first level throws you straight to the fiery gates took me 42 minutes to pass the first level
Bat to Bed is a cute and fun rage game that I wish had a mode with checkpoints.
Bat to Bed has a lot of great things going for it. The music is really nice and fits the game well. The art style is cute, although it lacks a bit on detail. The bat is super cute too. But above all the gameplay itself is deceptively fun. Figuring out cycles/routes through precise gaps is really satisfying, and the idea of smacking yourself into walls to turn around is incredibly inventive and changes the way you play massively. However, I wish this game was less "rage" oriented and had an easier mode where you get a certain amount of player set checkpoints. Or you can hit height milestones to where you can't fall back down the whole way. The reason I want this is because punishments can be really steep, or timed sections can be VERY tight, and failure can mean huge losses. You may be thinking "why did you buy the game then?" Well, they did market this as "less punishing than other rage games", so I picked it up and took a chance. Turns out that chance didn't really work out. Still too ragey for my taste, but I'd happily change this review to positive if a mode with checkpoints was ever introduced. I'd love to play through this game fully. Till then, it's not for me, so I can't recommend it. Any buyers, do remember that this is still a rage game, although less brutal.

Saw this game in an Instagram reel with people claiming its difficulty, I adore challenging platformers and this met that expectation the game isn't fully finished yet however I truly enjoyed this and it hit that itch for beating a new challenging game, the achievements step it up to an entirely different level as well. If you like a challenge I HIGHLY recommend this game, its clear how much love and effort the devs put into it with even small details like rewards for each achievement, well thought out and fair hitboxes, inbuilt timers for hunting time based achievements, variety in the levels, its got it all and i am now very excited for the release of future updates
i swear to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ god im going to kill that woman bat in the race i will rip her into several peices
it is fun and all until the 2nd world, where there is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ race based on an rng. You cannot beat it without getting lucky due to the fact there is like 20 spirits that shoot fireballs in a random direction like bro what, for 3 hours they predict your movement
ledge rng
yes
its fun i guess
Well, didn't think I'll be making this type of review. This is the first negative review I have ever made and it's because of how annoying this game is. First, there are no checkpoints anywhere. Second, after getting hit, you don't regain control of your character until you land. This means that you can fall all the way from the top of the level to the very bottom without having any way to stop yourself. Third, in the second level, the projectile spam is actully a piss off and because of the fact that getting hit is REALLY punishing (basically a restart in the race segment of the level) it feels like a platformer version of the Daytime Empress of Light bossfight. I normally never complain about difficulty in games and I'm usally the "git gud" guy (I can literally no-hit some of the harrdest Elden RIng bosses) but this game is by far my least favorite of all time.
Its extremely frustrating that you cant do anything when you get hit and either fall 10 meters or the whole level, there's just too much RNG
