This game is truly a hidden gem. I love the style this game portrays, with all the music and how it's presented is great. It's also very fun to try and map out what your next couple of moves is with all the information the game gives you. 100% worth the price, I'd pay $20 for this game and still be very happy.
Overall recommend this one for the price. Some notes: - At and above the 3rd increased difficulty there are only a few viable strategies, and with the limit to control of your build being entirely random color bullet rewards and shop options save for boss bullets, runs can sometimes be non-starters. - The lack of diversity in general means that you won't play this for more than a few hours probably. - No healing between bounties hurts a fair bit and really hampers cash economy - Why is B barrel locked from the start? It makes the first run feel basically unwinnable and only gives you a disadvantage. All in all dev if you read this, I like the aesthetic and gameplay, it just needs a bit of refinement. I hope you make even cooler games in the future.
I really enjoy this game. It reminds me, and I'm sure it took inspiration from, .Forty-Five but with a more polished look and different gameplay style. I am only temporarily not recommending this game because it keeps crashing on me. The following are messages I received from my PC while trying to play: "Pure vital function being called while application was running (GIsRunning == 1)." "LowLeverFatarError [File:d:\build\++UES\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\Core\Private\Windows'WindowsPlatformMisc.cpp] [Line:746] Pure virtual function being called" "The game has crashed"
it was a good game , but I need chinese.
Levels feel too short, healing seems scarce, Maybe add more skills? found a bug where the revenge status on my character also displayed the code line. Revenge <img id="Revenge"/> is how it read when hovering over the status. would reccomend. has incredible room for content and updates.
The tl;dr of Barrel Roll [as of 1/27/26]: it just needs more content and some general QoL like animation speed changes or gamespeed adjustments/options; what's there is a pretty solid and fun, while not terribly easy unless the stars align, base that simply has to be fleshed out with MORE to hit its' best. Sure, I've only played 3 hours, and only gotten 1 win in that time, but this game's pretty awesome so far and I hope it gets more content! Music, aesthetics, all of it's great if you ask me. The UI has some minor glitching when it comes to player and enemy shadows blocking intents or descriptions, but is otherwise clean and easy to read and interpret. Once you unlock the second barrel things open up a fair margin too, letting you designate one barrel for different ideas/builds - which is cool. The bosses and overall intent patterns are pretty predictable, though of course you won't always be able to play around them optimally - and that's okay! - with some outright being much easier than others [like Boddie and Clyne]. Strength and debuffs feel great to use, and if you can juice up the shield break for strength bullet it's good enough to carry you a fair ways. Execution+ is pretty phenomenal for ending anything without a shield, even bosses [though I suspect that might get changed, even if I'd prefer it didn't], and the 'adjacent bullets get +4/+7 vs shield as long as this bullet hasn't been fired' adds a lot of value to some key pieces. The Burst minigame is honestly lots of fun when you get in a groove, duel is always satisfying, and gosh I like the Barrel Roll minigame itself - though I think it could stand to either be a bit faster or manipulated in some fashion so it isn't ridiculously easy to get the bullet you want to be fired. In its current state [1/27/26], I'd give this a pretty solid 8/10. Especially at 5 dollars.
Truly an underrated game and completely worth the price. Enemies can feel repetitive but the unique ammo types really help diversify playstyles. I hope to see a more developed sequel in the future.
Not for me.
Cool concept, although apparently unoriginal - a game called forty five did the same thing a couple years ago. It is unfortunately lacking in any kind of real depth or replayability after an initial run, so with that, as well as visual bugs like blocking enemy stats and regular crashes, I can not recommend it
