About
"BAROQUE Become a Meta-Being" returns—now more powerful than ever!
In this game, you play as Grue, one of the minor enemies that appear in BAROQUE.
Use jumps and quick movements in all directions to see how far you can progress through the dungeon known as the Neuro Tower.
Will you take cautious steps forward, or leap boldly ahead? With simple controls, anyone can enjoy the challenge.
You’ll also encounter many familiar characters from the original game, such as Moon and Kato.
By using the rewards you earn based on the distance you travel, you can obtain various types of Grue, such as the "Muscle Grue" and the "Jellyfish Grue." You can also change your appearance to the Grue you’ve obtained and play as them.
In addition to the Original Mode, where you test how far you can go without making a mistake, a brand-new Countdown Mode has been added.
In this mode, the challenge is to see how far you can go within 60 seconds. You can revive as many times as you want during the time limit, and the rewards you earn differ from those in Original Mode.
You can compete with players nationwide in the rankings by comparing your number of deaths and the max distance reached in each mode.
A new camera option, Another View, has also been added—switch from the top-down Normal View to a dynamic, close-up perspective from behind Grue for a more immersive experience.
Other improvements include interface adjustments and the ability to restart instantly with a single button press, making the game smoother and more enjoyable to play.

not gonna lie, i bought this only and entirely because of the Baroque IP. i've never even heard of this game. is it a mobile port? it definitely does have the Baroque vibes, so i'm gonna go ahead and recommend it if you're a fan and/or you just like the bizarro 90s 3D japanese indie aesthetic that said, it's frogger and i am abominable at frogger, so i can't judge the game on its actual merits as a frogger. i will leave that to the frogger experts. i'm sure those guys are eager to review this game too, right? edit: also, idk what the hell is up with japanese keyboards but not only are the controls arrow keys and enter instead of wasd, for some reason the M key will reset your run, so uh. be careful if you, like me, are curious if there's any kind of map function. in retrospect i'm not sure why i thought there would be one. edit 2: okay, the P key will also reset. also one of the menus is, i swear i'm not making this up, controlled by the 3 and 0 keys on the number row. i'm looking at a picture of a real japanese keyboard right now and it's basically just the US one, so i can't even blame alternate layouts. i suppose the weirdness of controls is thematic, at least? edit 3: you know what? this game is amazing and you should buy it.
BAROQUE - BECOME A METABEING was originally a mobile game that Sting released out of nowhere. It takes Baroque's remake assets and repourpuses them for what's essentially: BAROQUE FROGGER You can still play the original and get an idea of what this game is like. Talking as someone that got way too into it, it's a pretty dope arcade Frogger variant. Very direct, no nonsense, great aesthetics and you get a sort of gacha meta progression that's purely for the laughs. You unlock different kinds of Grue skins, and the fancier ones are either outrageous or straight up Grueified characters from Baroque. The most exciting part is battling for the high score with equally deranged Baroque fans. This version was included with the Switch collection that just released, sort of like a bonus, but it also got into Steam with a price tag of 5 bucks. What do you get with this version? - ACTUAL PHYSICAL CONTROLS. Feels better to play than using the touchscreen. Now I can make my own Baroque Frogger arcade cabinet (stay tuned for the Spanish Baroquecon 2.0) - A new Countdown mode that's basically a 60 seconds score attack. Because of how this game works, this mode is more luck based but you can make a dent in the highscore boards more easily. - A restart button. - A new camera option that's very fancy looking but has clear gameplay disadvantages - You support STING (I believe this is the main one) If you're tight on cash, play the original on phones and decide for yourself if you want to buy this. I'm already 7+ hours into this version because playing with actual buttons is a game changer, so I already got a lot out of it (plus, I did play A LOT of the original). That being said, if Sting ported the darts game for keitai phones I'd buy that too, I'm that serious. Somehow we're not getting the original Baroque game nor the remake but that's OK, I still love you.
Practically frogger but very dull... wouldn't recommend. I just hope they'll release the actual game Baroque (Sega S Ver.) as well as Baroque Wii version to modern consoles/PC. Really missed opportunity.
I'm suck at this game Please put OG Baroque on steam too, Sting
Hey girl, did you know? Your stamina is low. When it reaches zero you will begin to lose health. Eat hearts to restore stamina. Do you understand?
Frogger but BAROQUE...
man we're really getting desperate lmao
im grueing it so hard please play this
It's frogger Baroque which is cool and fun but it's barely related to the IP. It's just a fun spinoff and I enjoy it for what it is, but I would rather be playing Baroque Please port Baroque (Saturn version) on Steam please
