Reviews
A surreal PSX-style horror micro-game set over seven increasingly nightmarish days in a decaying apartment. Each day mixes exploration, environmental interaction, and eventually grotesque enemies, stunned with a timed parry before being finished off. It starts with an uncomfortable house party and sinks into body horror, blending Silent Hill's psychological decay with the lo-fi PSX look of Bloodwash. Like Nobody's Home, it turns an ordinary apartment into a mirror of the protagonist's deteriorating psyche, while its surreal ambiguity recalls Who's Lila?. Its greatest strength is atmosphere. Day 1 perfectly captures social anxiety: guests block your way inside your own apartment, conversations feel distant, you awkwardly dodge people, and the only interaction is someone asking you to fetch another beer. As the apartment and protagonist's body deform together, the game evokes alienation, agoraphobia, body dysmorphia, self-hatred, and the drain of social interaction. Each day traps the player in an anxious mind, replaying and trying to bury an embarrassing social encounter. Its aesthetic, recalling John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness, is enhanced by superb texture work, effective use of darkness, limited draw distance, and a crosshair-like pixel overlay that gives it an identity beyond simple retro nostalgia. The soundtrack mostly supports the oppressive mood, though the retro action-style music in Day 6 feels out of place. barbotine falters in substance. Its psychological symbolism invites readings of social anxiety, self-loathing, and mental illness, but never develops them into a meaningful payoff, and the ending is cryptic. Meaning depends largely on the player's imagery, making the experience feel like a proof of concept. Combat only reinforces that weakness. Once enemies appear, atmosphere gives way to frustration: extremely unforgiving parry windows, awkward collision, two enemies that can get stuck on staircases, and inconsistent spawning make encounters unreliable. barbotine slowly falls apart before it can explain itself, leaving strong emotions behind but never quite proving there's anything beneath them. 4/10

its a nice game and all, and I definetly would buy it. but i do think some of the people who reviewed think this is somehow fine art. Not to say that it is not artistic, it definetly is. but I do think that some people think that it is better than it actualy is
2/10 This is a game with no point. The only redeeming qualities are the graphics and the banging soundtrack, but there is no point to this game. The opening sequence leads one to believe it might be about social anxiety, then the following days make you think maybe your character is a murderer, but none of it comes together and, ultimately, this is just a very poorly constructed game in almost every way.

good, vomit on me
Short, sweet, to the point little horror game that I honestly enjoyed my time with. It is short - REALLY short. I have 100% of the achievements and just over half an hour of playtime. But the price kind of reflects this. $3 for 30 minutes of playtime is maybe a tad steep of an ask, but it is on sale often and anything under $2 feels like it is worth it for the experience candidly.
игра, ярко демонстрирующая, как легко может деградировать человеческая личность в состояние проросшей картофелины из-под раковины.
Short but engaging, I liked the combat even if it felt a little janky at times. Just wish this was longer
