I had never heard of this studio, nor their games. One day I was browsing Steam for a new game to play — I had never wishlisted this game, never followed it — and for some reason it just showed up on my store page. I guess it was meant to be. I'm 62 hours in now, and I really like the game. It's really solid, runs very smoothly, the combat is fun, the skills are fun, and the gear system lets you go really in-depth — you can build around a specific skill. The puzzles aren't that difficult, which I don't mind — it's just an easy game to play when the kids are in bed and you want to relax. (PS: the combat itself can get pretty intense!) I also like the choices you have to make to complete a quest. The quests are very morally grey, so it's sometimes hard to decide what to do.

Rewelacyjna gra, która z jakiegoś niezrozumiałego powodu przeszła bez echa. Najbardziej podoba mi się fakt złamania przez nią tradycyjnego schematu prowadzenia opowieści, w którym podejmujemy określone decyzje, a na koniec oglądamy ich rezultat. Tutaj na początku wybieramy rezultat, jaki chcemy osiągnąć, a na koniec gry jesteśmy z niego rozliczani. Przypadki nawiedzenia są ciekawe i widać, że twórcy stanęli na głowie, aby każdy kolejny wniósł do gry coś nowego i w jakiś sposób zaskoczył gracza. Wybory często są niejednoznacznie, a wybranie zakończenia na początku gry powoduje, że czasem trzeba działać wbrew swoim przekonaniom czy odczuciom (albo i nie, jeśli chcemy zaryzykować nieosiągnięcie rezultatu :-) ). Ponoć gra sprzedała się poniżej oczekiwań, co mnie osobiści smuci, ponieważ najprawdopodobniej marka nie będzie kontynuowana, a nietuzinkowy pomysł na poprowadzenie historii i rozgrywkę pójdzie w zapomnienie :-(

Well crafted story. The atmosphere was tense and compelling. I wish the maps were a bit clearer to navigate and the combat had more variety but it was quite satisfying to shoot everything that moved with the musket. I can totally recommend it for the story.
