Finally a new lightgun game for the PC, not many of these coming out and this game shows you how much the community not only welcomes them, but the variety and excellent gameplay it offers. I highly recomend the game as it rocks as is, but with the planned updates it gets even better. I have played the alpha build and the latest release and the amount of work being put in the game is amazing, you will not regret it.
There’s something for everyone in this. It’s very varied and a lot of fun.
Is more content coming? UPDATE: Content never came. It's been over a year now, really bare bones game that's pretty thrown together, visually ugly. Shame, could have been good.. But if you want a new lightgun game, there isn't really many other options...
I just got this game today and already played 2 hours, i like the challenge and gameplay so far. I've only been playing with the sinden light gun.
A fun and totally unique game, recommended for light gun users especially
Great game whether playing single or multiplayer. It does a great job of capturing the spirit of retro light gun shooters like Point Blank, Zero Point and more but still manages to bring something new to the table. The game is challenging and there is plenty of replay value due to the inclusion of leaderboards and goals for each stage that must be completed in order to unlock additional stages. Future DLC promises to keep the game fresh too! In full disclosure, I was a Kickstarter backer and I am glad I was. I definitely recommend the game. Two thumbs up!
a good game, one thing that was an obvious miss for me is the option of a simple name (alphabet) select for local hotseat along with local high score save and clear on screen indication of whos turn it is, no need for steam account name on the top right while playing hotseat local just names that are selected along with current score p1 left p2 right, more speed maps would be the best feature to work on and a "time add on hit variable mechanic" being added for some true high scores(like an arcade/endurance mode). in all modes a score counter would be nice to see on screen as of now your score/coins disappear at the steam account logo not very arcade ish. Scenario: i think this would have been better if the character was auto run/jump and the players objective is to clear the obstacles. i hope you take this as constructive criticism as im thinking from a 80s/90s arcade player
It's rare to get a new game in the Lightgun gaming category, but Molerat shows the genre is well and truly not dead. A modern and large variety of minigames to keep you from playing the retro shooters you've loaded up hundreds of times before... at least for a little while!
What a bullet accuracy judgment and speed tester this thing is . It packs a lot of minigames into one. If you like classic arcade shooters like police trainer and time crisis or even if you’re an ole school gamer like me and you love consoles games like gumshoe for Nintendo, then you’re definitely going to love BangBang PewPew. It takes some elements of these games and adds a modern twist to them and I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with some of these mini games. Playing poker with a lightgun will definitely bring a smile to your face. This one is a fun one for any card player.
Love this game, a fun arcade style 1st person shooter that goes well with the Sinden or Gun4IR lightguns. Really enjoy the variety, fun for the whole family, a modern take in old school shooting games like Duck Hunt and Hogan's Alley. I have this on my DIY arcade cab. Great way to have the fun arcade lightgun experience at home.
