The best one button boxing game featuring cubes I have ever played and will ever play. Pros: - Cubes - Easy Controls - I am friends with the developer - Veggies - Lot's of hot cube-on-cube action Cons: - Lava is hot - Square box fits in square hole - Box gets sleepy - Bombs go boom - Violence is immoral
Just bought this game played an hour and had a tonne of fun, its simple easy to play but a fun party game you can play with your pals.
Don't let the name fool you, it's much harder than you may think. A fun and challenging game to play with friends, but be aware! It can end friendships just as quick. (pro tip is to practice before hand so you can dominate your friends in a reckless and torture-like way.) I would recommend the game, not only because my best friend created the game, but because it's honestly a good game. It's a game for parties where it spices things up when the party seems dull. It's a game for friends who needs to show dominance. It's a game for single players like me who want it to look like I have friends. - It can't get better than this, especially within this price range. So, show your fists and let the best cube win. uwu

If you're thinking about getting this game, I highly recommend it - especially if you have a few friends who are also up for the battle. Fisticubes is such a fun game which really brought out my competitive side and when the game finished, I immediately wanted to play it again. I bought Fisticubes on my mac, so I can't play on my own, but I can play with friends via steam remote play. However, I don't mind because playing with friends, in my opinion, made it so much more exciting and makes winning feel even better.
cool game, simple and fun +Simple and cool art design +Good idea and require only one button so anyone can play this game (fun for parties) +I like the soundtrack -The lock on need to be fixed -Need to do some extra balancing like ReStore back stamina when it's empty takes longer time then when you its not fully empty, by doing that you allow the player to have more option and to think this throw -The single game mode way to hard im getting rekt by AI Im looking forward to see new updates, overall I like the game
[I've edited my review since it's now free to play, I simply removed the "inexpensive game" mention.] Think "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots", but instead of robots, it's cubes who bounce around in a retro Nintendo 64-like world. It's a game with strong arcade roots - you don't have long cutscenes, no stories, you just get told how to play and jump in. It also reminds me of mini-game classics like Mario Party, a popular franchise back then which birthed many titles on the N64. If you want quick, mindless fun, it's one of those games. If you're at home with a friend and you're bored, you can avoid a dull evening with Fisticubes. There are a few powerups and items that affect your battles. They drop from the sky and fall on or around the cubes. Bombs will cause the cubes to be propelled in every directions. Vegetables will double a cube's size. Anvils will destroy parts of the level. They're perhaps the best element of the game because they add a chaos variable that no one can predict. You can never know what's going to fall or where it's going to land so it can either allow you to get the upper hand or be your doom. In either case, they lead to surprise and laughter. The game simply isn't as fun without them. This is a very challenging game if you play against the AI. Perhaps a bit too challenging sometimes. It's really hardcore stuff. The AI knows exactly when to punch at the right time, while you will often see your punches misdirected. You will find that it's much more fun against a friend, or even against yourself ( because technically, since you only need one key for movements and punches, you can play against yourself by controlling all 4 cubes if you want ). I found the tournaments ( 1 player vs 1 AI ) extremely difficult to win, and the lack of powerups/items falling from the sky enhance the difficulty. [AI has been modified to be more human-like, so it's not as hard as it used to be. Good!] You will have to develop strategies to outsmart your opponents. Cubes use energy when they move and punch, and when they move and punch for too long without stopping, they fall asleep and recover the lost energy until their energy bar fills up. This is a very important element in the game that you must pay attention to. It's sometimes best to avoid movement and let your adversary do the hard work, and strike when it's too tired to fight back. Sometimes I wish we could move around freely. I also wish the punches would have more impact on the cubes, that there would be more force in them. I also think the giant cube powerup should allow the big cube to be much more powerful and harder for smaller cubes to move. Sometimes, the AI can be tricked into falling in obvious traps, but sometimes it's just too difficult for a human player. Most of the time, it's well-balanced though. [First Person mode has been added. Cool addition!] There are many battlegrounds to choose from. There are simple maps ( just a square ) and more advanced, dangerous ones. I prefer the levels that allow a quick death/round, so the levels that are more dangerous, the better. "Walls" is a level I never play because the walls on all sides of the squared battle zone keep you and your enemies from falling and dying quickly, but the vast majority of the other levels allow the quick deaths I'm looking for and are pretty fun. This is a pretty cool and different game that can give you a fun time for free, so I definitely recommend downloading it. I guess I should now point out that my royalty free, Creative Commons-licensed music was used for Fisticubes, as you may have seen in the game's credits. In no way did this affect my review of the game, though! Even if I had not taken part in the creation of this game, I would've said the same things! Congrats on the release of your game, Gabriel, and good luck on your future projects!
Awesome little game! I love the competitiveness of the game and how many laughs I have had while in cross-play. Would highly recommend for a games night with friends or to cure boredom. Animations and game art are pretty cool too
