Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 25 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

My initial reaction to this game was pretty poor, the matchmaking had no signs of working upon booting the game and I spent a good amount of time, about 20-30 minutes, initially trying to use it to find a game. Co-op will only seem to work if you find people to play with in advance and attempt matchmaking at the same time as it seems the invite friends button is broken in game now so be warned if that's what you're trying to do, this could be unique to my setup so Your Mileage May Vary. I decided to just hop into the solo missions to try things out. The game bills itself as a co-op FPS tower defense game but it tries to push in an inventory crafting system on top of it. After you manage to start a game you get thrown into one of the game's maps randomly, no choice can be made about which one you get as far as I can tell, one of the games first poor design choices. You start your initial wave with your pistol and any perk items you've unlocked so starting wave enemies tend to be pretty tame. After you get finished the first wave you immediately get a timer that can't be stopped for you to craft inventory items that require a crafting time per item, which also deduct from the monetary resources you have and also to build defenses around your objective. The build phase in my opinion always feels rushed especially playing solo. It wouldn't be so bad if you just had to drop your build items on the ground but the menu is not snappy and there's a second upgrade item that has to be used to improve anything beyond its starting level. this wouldn't be as much of an issue if the barricade items weren't 1/4th the size of the turrets but they each also have their own individual levels to increase making it take more time to try to build any barricades than just dropping a bunch of turrets and attempting to defend with those. Let's talk about about unlocks quickly. you don't have access to much in the beginning. you get a crate after each successful victory and level up and they offer one item each. crates are divided into arsenal, inventory items that can be crafted or built after the first wave to give you additional guns/shooting damage and turrets, and cosmetics. the cosmetics are pretty straightforward but the arsenal unlocks show a lot of padding initially being placed into the game (along with the level/experience system). items are not just gated behind the level system but when you unlock an item you only have access to it's first 2 upgrade levels (all upgrades for towers are base stat increases as far as i've seen). You also have to unlock the additional upgrade tiers for each item which are again gated by your account level. once you do, they show up as an improved version of the item, but you have to build the base item then spend more time whacking it with a wrench to upgrade the traps further all doing the previously mentioned short time between waves. One thing I hadn't mentioned previously is towers are destructible, by pretty much any enemy. They don't have much health either so they go down in a few hits and this speeds up with the tier of difficulty you've selected. All in all Band of Defenders is just OK. On top of it's rather basic controls it suffers from a lot of early gameplay padding, and a lack of quality of life features that could make it a much better experience for people playing solo or just learning the game. If it had the care and attention it needed through updates it could become a much better game because there's an ok tower defense shooter under most of the gripes i've listed and it could be a blast with a bunch of likeminded friends.

Nice game 5/10
This game had the potential to be great, but fell flat after the first few hours when you realized there wasn't much content. 4 maps that get pretty stale after playing them over and over ... and over just to grid out a gun that is a random drop, and having no control over what map you can choose on top of it. It was fun for the first few hours coop with a friend but got pretty boring pretty quick. All in all in my opinion this game is not worth the $9.99.
