Ball Driver

[h1][i]Ball Driver[/i] is ony driving me nuts!!![/h1] Pardon the innuendo...Yep, it only took me 8 minutes to put this game down and I'll be hesitant to pick it back up again. Reason? The controls and the evil that is the "fireflies", that will pursue you relentlessly to knock you off without any mercy. P*ss one off and you're f*cking dead...causing you to respawn at the beginning of a gate area. You can roll with the WASD keys, but you'll move at an abysmally slow speed. Your only hope for speed is pressing the space bar and flinging yourself all over. This'll easily p*ss off those "fireflies", though. Long story short: An unjustifiably high difficulty for the wrong reasons. The visuals aren't much...they're okay, but nothing to write home about. The interface of the game feels clunky and uninspired, which is a good sign of this being a basic Unity product. Worth your time? Only if you're a masochist or want to punish someone (like a bratty child). I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone outside that demographic. The price tag is low, but even then I wouldn't recommend it. Only purchase this product if you enjoy causing pain or feeling pain. 0.5/10 Get this game out of my sight...

Ball Driver is a very fun game.

Ball Driver – гоночная аркада от инди разработчика Potato Games, предыдущим и первым проектом которого была игра для дополненной реальности Octoshield VR. Игра представляет из себя простенький гоночный симулятор, где роль болида выполняет шарик – цель игры проехать все чекпоинты на трассе, не задев при этом препятствий, роль которых выполняют подвижные красные точки, способные сбивать шарик с траектории и даже отправлять его в небеса. Управление в игре классическое – WASD для управления движением, мышь для управления видом и пробел для ускорения. В целом игра выполнена на троечку – видна некоторая небрежность при выполнении уровней, плохая оптимизация (игра выполнена на бесплатном Unreal Engine), саудтрек в игре отсутствует, хотя присутствует весьма красивый на обзорном видео в стиме, но в самой игре его нет, нет также никаких настроек, кроме трёх видов разрешения с огромным шагом. В общем, игра меня не впечатлила, скорее всего это был некий пилотный проект для нового движка и возможно разработчик разберётся с оптимизацией на этом движке и станет больше времени уделять проработке уровней и карт для своих игр, пока данную игру я посоветовать к приобретению не могу.
