(I don't care either way on the rating of this game. That's how the game feels like. So I will just pass it because it didn't freaking break and it is a TM game that provided some things it was supposed to. More details below. Duh.) Did you like the first game? Wanted a continuation of the story between the characters? Maybe a lil romance on the side, whilst cooking? Yeah... You ain't getting it. While the first game is designed in its true Time Management fashion + IS for patient people... The second game is for ADHD kind. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING will jump in your face FAST. At times FIVE customers will pop in at once too! A challenge is fine, but come on! This is WAY too different from the first game and it's made completely for a different "more modern" audience... Who like to use a tablet. Bah. Story... There isn't much of it. Fine, TMs don't usually do "story", but romance was hinted in the first one... And this one? Bwahahahaha! Oh and did you want to see your audience "DAB"?! You can now!!! Why in the hell would majority of those customers, especially elder men and women DAB?! Are you TRYING to break their poor joints? Upgrades: Yes. We have them. But THEY TELL YOU EVERY SINGLE ITEM YOU SHOULD BUY. Don't figure it out yourself and THINK like in the first game... JUST LET US DO IT FOR YOU!!! Collector's level: First game made you get funds all over again. It was a challenge and came with 16 (I believe) levels... This game let's you keep the money and you will be done with upgrades pretty much as soon as you start. This game is always overly freaking EASIER than the first one! Because you practically CAN'T LOSE!!! There might be one level, but THAT'S JUST ONE! It's also half the time and doesn't feel like they cared to put much effort into it. "Oh just go with what people like nowadays, it'll be finnnneeeeee!" That said... I mean... It's a TM game... A simple one... It's just there... I would get mad over some stuff, but that would mean I care. So want a game that's like this? You found it. Kudos.
Fun game.
Great time management game!
This game is exactly what I was looking for. It allows you to remove the timer and casually play without the stress. If you like a challenge you have the option to turn on the timer. I love stress free games where I can play at my own speed and relax but still have fun. Life can be stressful enough, I don't want a game that stresses me out and this one doesn't LOL! This game is perfect for me. It reminds me of the old game 'Diner Dash' but up to date.
Fun and cute diner dash style game, if you loved those, this game will scratch the itch. :D
There is nothing spectacular that I can highlight about this game. Four restaurants and sixty levels. It doesn’t offer much challenge, but I’m all right with that. The last few levels in every restaurant can be slightly tricky but still manageable. The only challenge is to click multiple times to take the food and serve the customers. Rating: 5/10
simple but enjoyable if you like this type of game, if you make more games like it I would buy.
Fun, easy, time management game. Some of the controls can be a little finicky but overall a good, mind-numbing experience.
Baking Bustle: Ashley’s Dream, developed by GameOn Production and published by Alawar Casual, is a bright and energetic time-management cooking game that embraces the classic formula of fast-paced restaurant service while wrapping it in a friendly, accessible presentation. From the very beginning, the game establishes its core appeal: guiding Ashley and her partner as they chase the dream of culinary success, one hectic kitchen at a time. Rather than leaning heavily on narrative twists, the game focuses on the satisfaction of efficiency, rhythm, and gradual mastery, making it an inviting experience for both newcomers to the genre and long-time fans of casual management games. The gameplay loop is built around a series of increasingly demanding levels in which players must prepare dishes, manage ingredients, and serve customers before their patience runs out. Each restaurant introduces new layouts, appliances, and menu items that subtly shift how players approach multitasking. Early stages ease players into the mechanics, allowing time to learn order flow and kitchen layout, but the difficulty ramps up steadily as customer volume increases and orders become more complex. This progression feels natural and well-paced, ensuring that the challenge grows alongside the player’s confidence rather than spiking abruptly. One of the game’s strengths lies in how it balances pressure and accessibility. Levels can be played in timed or untimed modes, catering to different playstyles and moods. Untimed levels allow for a more relaxed experience focused on learning and experimentation, while timed levels emphasize quick decision-making and precise execution. This dual approach makes Baking Bustle: Ashley’s Dream well-suited for both casual play sessions and more focused attempts at perfect performance. Players aiming for three-star completions will find themselves replaying levels to refine routes, optimize order handling, and squeeze out every bit of efficiency. Visually, the game adopts a colorful, cartoon-inspired style that reinforces its lighthearted tone. Kitchens are vibrant and easy to read, food items are clearly distinguishable, and character animations convey urgency and personality without becoming distracting. The interface is clean and intuitive, allowing players to focus on gameplay rather than wrestling with controls or menus. While the visuals are not flashy or technically ambitious, they are consistent and polished, which is crucial for a game that relies on clarity and responsiveness under pressure. Progression is driven by performance and mastery rather than deep customization systems. Unlocking new restaurants and advancing through the campaign provides a steady sense of accomplishment, even though the story itself remains simple and mostly serves as context for the gameplay. For players who enjoy optimization, the real satisfaction comes from learning each level’s rhythm and discovering the most efficient order of actions. Small mistakes can cascade into lost customers, while smooth execution can feel incredibly rewarding, especially in later stages where the pace becomes relentless. The game’s challenge curve is generally fair, though it does demand patience from players seeking perfection. Some levels require multiple attempts to fully understand optimal strategies, and earning maximum ratings can feel demanding rather than guaranteed. However, this trial-and-error process is part of the genre’s appeal, encouraging players to improve through repetition rather than brute-force progression. Steam achievements add an extra incentive for completionists, offering goals that extend the game’s longevity beyond simply finishing the campaign. Overall, Baking Bustle: Ashley’s Dream delivers a focused and enjoyable time-management experience that knows exactly what it wants to be. It doesn’t attempt to reinvent the genre or overwhelm players with complex systems, instead relying on polished fundamentals, steady progression, and a satisfying sense of flow. For fans of cooking and restaurant management games, it offers a dependable blend of challenge and charm, making it an easy recommendation for anyone looking to unwind with a fast-paced yet approachable casual title. Rating: 7/10
This game is really fun, it's nice when you want to just relax and play an easy game. Also great for kids. Sometimes the level gets stuck, then you need to go back to menu and click on the level again. Still figuring out the sherlock achievement though.. I have no clue and it's frustrating XD I will not quit, until I find it! (Until it takes me longer than a month ;) )
