Riddle Tower is all about solving a wide variety of riddles, including classic riddles, math brain teasers, and rebuses. The main story features riddles inspired by two classic games from my childhood, Notpron and GodTower, known for being some of the toughest riddle games of their time.

I do not understand how this game can such good reviews because it absolutely does not deserve them. While the premise is good, the execution leaves just about everything to be desired, mainly regarding the puzzles themselves. I guess the developer never heard of the saying "quality over quantity". There is 800 puzzles and 95% of them are either way too easy, unenjoyably BS hard or require some knowledge that you very well could go without learning about otherwise. There is also multiple puzzles that don't accept 100% correct alternative solutions, have hints that straight up tell you the wrong information or repeat themselves. The 5% that are actually satisfying to solve do not make up for the rest. With the sheer abundance of absolutely fantastic puzzle games out there you can easily skip this one. Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (9.0-4).
I wanted to like it, but some of the "riddles" are just awful. Most puzzles are fine, but others pretty much impossible or wrong.
I initially thought it was going to be a game about riddles, but later I found out it was a game about a monkey, hehehe. I recommend this game because it has personality and love, making it enjoyable, interesting, and unique. It's the kind of game that you keep downloaded on your device just so you don't miss out on the next chapters and updates. As a big fan of escape rooms, a lot of the riddles are a perfect simulation of easy and difficult riddles you can find in an escape room. Finally, I want to add that I enjoyed how the learning curve of my experience was being developed easily and I was becoming better at every level. It's truly a must if you love riddles and want to have fun. Also, the price is really good and the game has days of content. I'm truly happy that I got my hands on this amazing game.
Riddle Tower is a puzzle game that sees players ascending a tower solving a new riddle on each floor. It has a fun premise and is implemented effectively in terms of its styling and visuals, as well as providing a simple narrative to incentivise progress. However, it falls short when it comes to the puzzles and riddles themselves with much discrepancy in quality and accessibility. There is a lot of assumed knowledge and the design of some conundrums is problematic. There are some quality riddles dotted amongst the levels but these do not make up the bulk of the game and as such the experience is a bit lacklustre and even exasperating at times. I wanted to enjoy this game, especially as it offers a lot of potential playtime and seems to be something of a labour of love from the developer, but lamentably, I cannot confidently recommend it. I thoroughly enjoy this. Still have a bit to go, but it's an old school relaxing puzzle game. A good combo of easy, middling and a (few) headscratchers. I've been playing this with my kids and it's been a blast
It is always fun to see a game full of riddles like this, however there are many, almost too much even. There are 3 sort of riddles: Text Riddles, Math and Rebus (And the Main story being a mix of them). You can Google most answers, math you can bruteforce most, but with Rebus and the Main story i just got stuck within the first ten already and if you don't get proper hints you keep getting stuck and then things just become frustrating. This could and should be solved, by temporary skipping the puzzle so you don't keep hanging on a puzzle and you can always go back, and simply have a guide please. You can go on discord and ask dev for hints, but there are so many subforums because there are so many riddles, and dev not always that active there, it's not the best place. It's hard to give a grade because there has been put a lot of work in, the amount of riddles, the monkey companion with his jokes and even a free DLC but the way it is 5/10, will there be a guide or atleast a way to skip puzzles then a 8/10. EDIT: While i still believe the dev should give proper hints and a written guide, i found a video walkthrough of all puzzles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gJw0YvHGyY&ab_channel=AlexPrime
The game is really fun, the puzzles are not annoying at all, the music is calming and the game has overall a fantastic atmosphere.
Riddle Tower is an absolute gem in the world of puzzle games. Each level brings something new so it's not boring even after hours of playing, and the commentary from the monkey guide is just hilarious. To be honest, some riddles are quite challenging but you can get some extra help on discord if you want. For a great price, you get hours of fun, so it is definitely worth it. Highly recommended.
Alright so the good first. It does what it says. It is exactly what you expect from a riddle tower game. It has hints. It didn't crash. There are different ways to play. The bad. Too much math hahaha. I am terrible at math so that is just on me truthfully. Overall, it was enjoyable.
I really loved it! And it makes you work your brain. It also has funny jokes or puns which are entertaining <3 if you just looking to pass the time and play a cozy game while making your brain work this is the game
