This bun didn't get nearly enough time in the oven. Bugs are all over the place and I'm not referring to the offscreen abductions. For example, the pause menu is the same as the start menu including the "start" button, and you can spend money to gain nothing by talking with shopkeepers you already purchased from (or maybe I had the money but the shop itself was just bugged to not let me buy anything, it's hard to tell and the result is the same). Even without considering the bugs the execution is lacking. There's a certain level of jank that's to be expected of this sort of indie game but it still was a bit too much for me. Removing your eyes to see invisible things is a fun idea but if you're going to make everything invisible and drastically reduce the player's sight range when eyes are unequipped it becomes very tedious very quickly. The inventory is a single row that stretches offscreen and seemingly has no end point, but for some reason it remembers your place if you close and reopen it, so if you actually scrolled that far you have to manually scroll all the way back. Controls can't be rebound but the dodge button is right shift of all things. Not that I got far enough to actually need the dodge button, because I got stuck pretty early, drifting between two screens because I couldn't find any items at all for any of the various quests except for some stuff in a shop I couldn't buy because my money got eaten by bugs. edit: dev thinks I'm too dumb to do the thing the NPCs literally told you to do at the start of the game, when I literally mentioned the bug abductions that happen after you get the coffee. My complaints are about what happened after that. Couldn't buy anything from the merchant even after I found 2 coins from wandering around blind, when two of his wares were 1 gold and 2 silver coins so I should have been able to buy one or the other no matter what. I suspect I had my money silently deducted when I talked to the coffee seller again even though he didn't have anything left to sell but I'm not about to try playing the game again when it's got oversights that basic.

This game is actually pretty fun, good visuals, nice gameplay, pretty funny dialog. Overall a pretty great game, thanks for another banger Marginal Act
I was sold on the idea, but this feels more like an unfinished learning project than an actual release. Dated graphics are fine for this type of release, but when the rest of the game also doesn't do much to defend itself, then it piles onto the negatives. Dialogues don't really disappear if you got through them once, menus feel clunky, overall it doesn't play well.
funnie numberrrre

Дуже класна гра та механіка, але немає українського перекладу! будь ласка,зробіть його, і ще я хочу щоб ви зробили V-sync,
idea of the game itself is good, but it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ tbh
Bakeborough is an interesting indie gem! If you ever wanted to roleplay as a muffin, who goes on a quest to defeat insect bosses to win back your lover! This is the game for you! Seriously this game is a very fun game where you go around defeating enemies and defeating bosses to gain powerful weapons to unlock new areas as well as interacting with bizarre characters on the side and doing quests for them. Also what's cool about this game is you can collect body parts to make your character stronger as well as you can also take out body parts such as your eyes to be nearly blind to navigate certain areas and if your a real pro to defeat bosses when your nearly blind. I had a lot of fun with this game and liked the weird concepts and the boss battles and how every item that was collected seemed like it had a purpose within this short RPG. I would say this is one of the best games from Marginal Act. I would give this an 8/10! I tried to save a baby for an NPC and it turned out to be a boss in which I defeated it and then the NPC didn't want the baby. The game is weird but it's a good ass weird.
a lot of bugs
