Bad Way

The game is bad, straight up. Gunplay is awful, fall damage killing you is abundant, but I do however respect the amount of effort that has been put into the game by the developer. As a speedrunner of this game, the jankiness and glitches make this game so much fun in a weird way. Would recommend if you want a laugh and don't care too much about how bad the general gameplay is.

Where do I start with Bad Way? Is it short? Yeah, pretty short. It'll take you 1-3hrs on your first go-around. Is it hard? Not particularly. Is the story incredible? It's pretty much Uncharted-at-home with a side order of dying Wife. It's also got a few dozen glitches and bugs. So... why do I keep coming back to this game? Well partially, I'm a speedrunner and got turned on to this game by good friend and fellow stream team member, Streetbackguy. But there is something here, something between the jank and the memes that feels earnest. Heartfelt. I maybe benefited from the prior knowledge that Bad Way was created and developed by just one guy - because it is a lot easier to gloss over the game's shortcomings when you have that in the forefront of your mind. The game is an action/adventure title and is modelled heavily after Uncharted - you will shoot, climb and sometimes drive your way through several levels focused around tropical locales and tombs. There's even a train level! It does sometimes feel like a cover band performing Uncharted's greatest hits, but the unintentionally amusing voice over work and assortment of silly glitches combined with the game's pacing helps everything breeze along at a pleasant speed. Plus it's made by the one guy. To be honest it feels like there should be rougher edges than there are. I don't think I can recommend this game if it's costing you more than £10-15, but as of writing, the game is £4.29 with a 45% sale reduction to £2.35. I can easily recommend it at that price, especially for fans of the genre or fans of jank. You will easily get your money's worth out of the game at a price like that, even if you aren't a speedrunner who will return and return. If you want a few hours silly fun, this is worth it. Maybe consider becoming a runner and joining us on the board!

at first playing this game i thought it was a joke but as a spent a bit more time with it i started to notice there is a lot of thought put into it, there are cool combat ideas and puzzles to go along with the parkour which can seem kind of rough but after a bit of observation it was pretty fun what its missing is a bit of polish that comes from experience and this is the devs first game . finding the bugs in this game was so freaking much fun it actually made it better to be honest, i loved every minute.

This game changed my perception of what makes a video game good. Rarely do you ever see a game developer so devoted to putting out good content such as the creator of Bad Way. This game has models that appear to have hours spent into their creation. The UI in this game is something to be marveled. If the current conventions weren't so opposed to truly good video games I am certain that this would be game of the year. This game cured my cancer and also restored my mothers will to live and made my father proud of me again. On top of all of this, my lovely sister was blessed by a virgin birth or so she claims. Which is weird because our mail man has been showing up at our house on Sundays now. But perhaps its just the Sunday paper or a religious ceremony of some kind. This game has restored my faith in the future of PC gaming, and mankind as a whole. I wholeheartedly recommend and endorse this game to anybody. If you are looking for a unique and well-crafted experience that is fun and engaging for the whole family including the dog, Bad Way is not a bad way to go.
