Better than the original
They have recreated this game to be almost the same to Backyard Baseball 97, however they need to make the fielding situation a little better by making the kids throw faster.
Horribly buggy game, my favorite was when I ended up with 2 runners on 3rd base at the same time and then they both scored on the next single. My least favorite was when i was up 6-0 in the top of the first in a season game and it froze, the pitcher just refused to pitch. Then, I replayed it and it happened when I was up 9-0 in the first inning in the next game. Besides that, iuf the first baseman moves in the slightest its just a passed ball, and the announcers are always wrong about whats going on. Multiple times they'll talk about what a good hit when its an out, or how the runner was tagged out at first when it was just a routine grounder. Or the pitch will be on the inside and they'll say its on the outside, its comedic how bad it is. Listen to where they think the ball is going when its hit, SMASHED THROUGH THE GAP is a routine ground ball to the SS. Horrible, Bad, Terrrible. GOOD LUCK GETTING A NATURAL DOUBLE, IT's IMPOSSIBLE
Hi! 1st and foremost, the game brings a plethora of nostalgia. So, Thank You! However, I do have a gripe with this game. Can the developers, please, adjust the window / time to hit the ball? I was in training mode and I only hit the ball 20 - 30 times out of 200 attempts. I can't be THIS bad at the game. I did turn off the ball shadow / ball assist. I figured that is the real way to play the game. But, idk. Can we somehow add a more generous window to hit the ball? I usually dont write bad reviews, but the strict window of hitting the ball or the fact that I feel like I click on the ball and it says "Strike!" when I feel like I hit it dead on, is a pain. Once the window is fixed, I will gladly change my review from "Do not Recommend" to "Recommend" because the game does have great features.
