If you have sub 5 hrs you don't get to have a valid opinion of the game. I've been playing the games since they first came out in '97. The game is a glorious ODE to the series we grew up and loved. Are there a few "glitches" sure, but no different than abusing HORRID A.I from the early games. Sure your kids aren't rocketing the ball around the field, they're kids. Stop being pessimistic and enjoy the game. The 40 dollar price is a little steep, but there is a lot to play in the game and the season mode are really in-depth and the difficulty spikes. Enjoy the game, stop listening to the incredibly small "influencers" who never touched a backyard game before.

I have really enjoyed the game after 68 hours and do recommend the game for sure. There are still some game breaking bugs in the game but I believe they can be fixed in future updates. I am upset that I can’t create a team or coaches name with my last name. It’s crazy to me that Adams is a banned name… but this game brings back some great memories from my childhood and would probably pay $40 again.
No idea why I bought this game. All Backyard Baseball '97 did was piss me off. This one pisses me off even worse. I feel like there are some issues on both the offensive and defensive side, but I aware that the devs are currently working on fixing some things. It's simply more frustrating than I think it's meant to be atm, but still not a bad time. I'd say unless you just really like backyard baseball, there's no harm in waiting for the next update for improvements. Anyways, still a cool game. Definitely a bit overpriced. I'd say it's more worth $20-$25, just because of how polished it is, but it is what it is. This purchase will eventually be worth it. Pablo, Kenny, Pete - ya'll are my goats. Love ya'll.
Fun nostalgic game
this the only steam game i own and i use steam every day
I'm not entirely sure if I can recommend it at this time. It does have quite a few things that I don't think work for it. It's great for nostalgia, it has much potential to be a great game. Couple things i don't like is they removed the zone that the pitch comes in. Now it's either exactly where the ball is going or you have no frame of reference and it's extremely hard to guess where the pitches are going. Like someone else mentions, the breaking balls are damn near impossible to hit correctly. I get it's supposed to be hard without knowing, but idk. Defense seems weird. If you click like you would do in the older games, they stop running for a little bit before moving again. Sometimes it feels as if they're not going where you're clicking. Just a few to name, I haven't had that much time in the game. I refunded it once, but got it again because I'm hoping my money will help them come out with updates and bug fixes to fix the game I love so much. I'll update my review if/when it gets to the quality I hope becomes of it.
It's 100% a nostalgia boner. Its 100% not worth 40 dollars.
