line drive swing and open stance with lulu. trust me.
I really want to like this game but there's a lot that needs to be worked on especially for this price. things I like: visuals are a great upgrade and making the ball smash into objects like lights, trash cans, scoreboards, etc. is fun to watch. Love that they added buttons to move your stance quickly instead of having to quickly click below home plate then try and find the pitch and hope you weren't too late. Love trying to collect all of the players cards and the different tiers of cards. Negatives: It doesn't seem like the hidden boosts actually work (wearing a pink jersey for Maria, getting both Webber twins on the same team, same with Achmed and Amir). Pablo is broken and not in a good way, if I choose power it's a pop-up to the pitcher or infield, if i choose line drive it's a grounder to the pitcher or infield. Doesn't make sense for someone with the best stats in the game I've had over 50 at bats with him and it's the same result every time. Every time I have runner on first they stay on first and never run to second, they should be running on contact and stopping halfway if it's a pop-up (little league fundamentals). Also doesn't matter what key bind I have for steal I cannot get a runner to steal. Other minor things the announcers will randomly stop halfway through the game sometimes and not comeback until the next game, not the most accurate play by play calling (saying line drive to left when it's actually a grounder to third or shortstop, same with the right side of the field). There are some good things here, but not $40 USD maybe $20. Hopefully they can look into the coding for hitting and baserunning and make them better as well as making sure the stats and hidden boosts actually work the way they should. At the moment and at this price I would not recommend it, but I would keep watching and following the news and updates through the different people posting content on youtube and other social media and read patch notes.
This game is very fun. I love how the mechanics work, and the pick up style games. There are lots of difficulty levels for all types of players, and the tourny mechanic is very fun. the only downside is the games can sometimes feel a little long if the difficulty is too easy or too hard. I would defintly reccomend this game to anyone looking at this game.
highly recommend its so much fun
it is a great game very much can we get a console version apart with multiplayer and crossplay i guess
Great game
i love nostalgia bait i fall for it every time 40 bucks well spent, excited for online 1v1
great game its just a little hard
Good game, but they need to bring back more of the steroid users as playable characters
this game makes me so unimaginably angry. I like some of the improvements, like being able to control your players better (when they listen to you) and the overall look of the game. That being said...nerf playground pro mode. it's not fun when the game is literally just you hitting balls straight into a computers glove over an over and then striking them out over and over. I've had three 0 to 0 games where i quit after 12 or so innings of that exact cycle. I'd maybe expect that from the hardcore difficulty but on what's supposed to be the "default backyard baseball experience" it's way too unforgiving. The cpus barely make mistakes, are fast asf, and have ridiculous contact hitting balls even outside the zone (which is where you need to throw in this game if you don't want them to completely destroy you). The batting feels so awful compared to the old games, I've tried switching my stances to and opposite the ball, changing my timing, picking a good team, even playing on controller to the same results. What's crazy is I go into the homerun derby or change the difficulty, it's homeruns and fun gameplay. I'm convinced the homeruns are luck based on the difficulty you're on, I swear I try to time my hits and they go just inside the park every time, usually for an out even after it hits the wall. It's just a bunch of bs. 01 is the definitive experience, this is a joke in it's current state. If you want to be mad and waste 40 dollars be my guest but I wouldn't make that mistake again. Also the voices suck, had to say it they didn't even try with the voice acting.
