Why the hell can't I change keybinds? The amount of times I've got out because I've slid on accident instead of sprinted is insane.

VERY FUN GAME
It is so good! Although sandlot star is WAY too easy, it is fun. i DESTROYED the team in game 3, 58-0. wow.
Awesome game and will continue to get better, one thing wrong though... 40 DOLLARS???? It is a great game but is not worth 40 dollars, maybe 20 at best. Wait for sale or price to drop.
I'm glad the dev's seem committed to continuing updates for this game, because the artstyle & overall vibe is there but there are definitely some bugs & issues that I'd wait 'til sale if you're offput by those kinds of things at the price-point, you're not missing anything by not playing it close to launch. Rant about a specific bug I've been having... put in spoiler to spare your eyes if you don't care:
My issue has been resolution/aspect ratio related. I run a 2 monitor setup and target my 4k tv in steam bigmode, however I often have to switch between windowed, borderless windowed, and fullscreen and change resolution until it renders correctly, seemingly magically. What I mean is: Sometimes the game will render 4k but the aspect ratio will be messed up in both window modes without being able to manually resize, which looks like the game is a vertical video with the rest of the menus/game chopped off. So I'll move over to fullscreen which will technically be in 4k but stretches everything horizontally so it looks a squinty and weird, like if you were in photoshop and stretched an image. After this I'll either have to experiment with lower resolutions and see which one wants to cooperate and settle for chunky visuals, or sometimes I'll flip back to the 4k resolution and it'll work like nothing happened. It's a chaotically inconsistently consistent problem I seem to run into, and don't know if it's me, all I know is I've never encountered this problem in my extensive gaming library.
When playing the game however I've been satisfied with all the added content as well as the core gameplay which is quite faithful to the originals, particularly enjoy that their is now a day/night selection, other settings that help tailor the game to your play-style, and there is unlockable characters/content. There's not much else to say, but I'm also not that sweaty of a sports gamer, I didn't really have high expectations for this game considering the original is a kids game, and I'd say this game could still easily be played by children, but some of original skewmorphic design has been swapped out for modern visual ques, which helps the remaster image, but also made some gameplay mechanics less obvious that I had to brush up on (I skipped the tutorial thinking I knew this game like the back of Pablo Sanchez's backwards baseball cap). With time spent on fixes, and online multiplayer eventually being a feature this will definitely be a fresh way to revisit the Backyard Baseball franchise, and I still recommend this if you're already kind of bought in to the idea of a backyard baseball with a fresh coat of paint, but I don't recommend if you're expecting a transformative experience.
There's a lot of potential for this game, but the bugs and the insane profanity filter is a major killer for the price. Heavily recommend to wait until more of the bugs are addressed and multiplayer is available before dropping $40 on this game, or wait for it to go on sale at some point. (I'd pay at most $20 for what this game currently has, and admittedly, I'm only willing to pay this high because of the nostalgia factor)
his rating may be low but ernie's chuckin' cheddar
