The creator of this game is a blatant racist.

I've 100%'ed every version of this game. I enjoyed the 2023 version a lot, but the developer lost the copyright to multiple songs and had to remake about half of the game. The new version of these sections has several problems that ruined the experience for me: - Instead of the funny ex conversation in TKV, you're prompted to spam left-right arrow keys exactly 100 times. Maybe engaging the first time, but much less replay value than the original version, and much less interesting of an idea. - The Konosuba AI slop in ES shifting every frame is guaranteed to give you a headache, and combined with the persistent white background this entire section is wildly unfitting and almost unplayable. - TSM is still missing. We'll see if it's good in maybe a year or twelve. In its current state I wouldn't recommend it. Buy COLDTV for a dollar and watch a playthrough of BACK OF SPACE on Youtube.

I have been playing BACKOFSPACE and OLDTV for a good chunk of my life, it’s a fun arcade “strooplike” game. I really love the game’s technological feel, feeling like everything could actually be ran. Things like the TERMINAL and SYSTEM. The game could use some work, but there are things being added such as leaderboards and multiplayer. The reviews basing the quality of the game on the developers beliefs are kind of bunk, as even if you disagree, you should still be able to enjoy a game. Something that could be nice is a time-attack mode that could be activated if the code “FLARE” was typed in the TERMINAL.

10 dollars for very little content. Just play OLDTV, its a nicer experience. Edit: Developer sucks, shouldn't support.

All I wanted was a funny Stroop test game and instead I got AI slop and an atrocious developer. Do not buy this game, or OLDTV.

this game is awesome ive replayed and replayed this over and over again,, bought it when it was just two levels. It sucks that its basically abandoned and tossed to the side for Rivers other projects. While im sure that those projects could be great this was THE best thing he has ever put out imo. OLDTV was awesome and this was just a huge step up. So satisfying to play with great tracks and visuals. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU ACTUALLY WANTED A FULL COMPLETE GAME. (two levels removed too for licensing issues :( )

Around half a year I wishlisted this game, then when I saw it was available on steamunlocked I pirated it along with around 20 games I was ready to play, after a while I realised I've been playing for 5 hours straight, next day 3 hours, and the next one, and so on. When I was more than familliar with the game I realised I HAD to buy it. Already beat the prerelease like 9 times on most of my free times. Totally recommend it and vastly prefer to play on discovery mode, however the game sometimes doesn't provide any clue at all on what to input if you haven't played juice mode, so here are some codes I discovered on my own: TKV: The Karman Virus, an unaccessible region TSM: The Screaming Machine, another unaccessible region. TOR: Alternative command to SELL. SYS: Unlocks System setup on discovery mode. SET: Opens settings. BOS: Another way of getting in the Backofspace server. (prerelease) STATS: Statistics (No clue in-game yet) and some tips: Alpha1 = Ctrl + 1 Alpha2 = Ctrl + 2 Alpha"a" = Ctrl + "a", presumably Would love to have a training mode, and more tips throughout the game for discovery mode enjoyers like me. Short game, half an hour beat (blind run) for prerelease. The game becomes easier the more you replay it; sounds obvious, but it's not the case for this one, as in, it's not obvious. I promise your brain can adapt to quick pacing. (Yes, I've quit piracy a long time now)
