Damn. Paid 60 bucks for that game
its not as bad as people say combat can be decent and near platiums normal level if you learn it, the live service stuff is annoying but i never had to grind or replay stuff to beat the main story. the game looks ugly in the early areas but some of the later areas can look nice. idk its not super amazing but id say its a 6/10 def not the worst game of 2022 as many youtubers made it out to be. their footage only showed the first 2 lvls as well curious. im still confused how se and plat managed to result in this kinda wired mess of a game but i think they could have atleast tried to rework some of it oh well lole
yea the game has been a true BABYLONS FALL.... The server did fall hard.
I had a great time with this. I don't know why it got shafted by reviewers. Maybe it had more problems at launch but when I played during 1.3 I really enjoyed it. Its got a fun and unique combat system where you build your own moveset that keeps getting deeper, especially after you beat the game. There's also a good amount of varied content and a lot of unique bosses and minibosses. There was no grind at all, I just went from story mission to story mission almost entirely solo. Some bosses in the beginning were really drawn out and took about half an hour but I found it was an engaging endurance test. The visuals are hit or miss for some people but I really liked them and the filter makes the game look so much worse on stream than it is in game, on top of it going away after the simulation of the world is shattered as if you could see clearly again (no one could possibly care about spoilers anymore, right?). The story is interesting enough and has that classic platinum flare. Scenes like the boss growing wings from his back and using a rocket spear to fly into the sky and chuck it at a point in the sky that cracks and turns out to be television screens fueling the illusion we're all in will definitely stick with me. I will never understand why this was the worst game of 2022 for some reviewers. I liked everything I played. It would have been great for this to go free to play to show people how much had changed or at least allow an offline mode. Better yet, this shouldn't have been a live service in the first place. It should have been a coop spectacle fighter. We don't really get those anyway. Lastly, I want to thank the developers at Platinum for making such an excellent game despite the management and criticism. I'll miss it.
